i suppose european history, but lately i've been getting into ancient chinese military history. they were so advanced, its not even funny

I am not too knowledgeable about Chinese history, but I ascertain the notion that they were so advanced supporting that they were using firearms nearly 8 centuries before they widely found use in the rest of the world.

and their metal technology, crossbow technology, and level of organization was extremely impressive as well. they had crossbows hundreds of years before they became popular in europe. in fact soldiers of the Han Dynasty defeated Romans in the only engagement between the two armies in history by using their crossbows.

Very interesting.

They had semi-automatic crossbows at one point, didn't they?

i love learning about the history of china! specifically footbinding.
i just think it's amazing that, back then, women would let their feet be broken and reshaped so they could bring honor to their family and ensure that they marry into a rich family! At a very young age, they entrust their entire future to their mother, who must try to get their daughters the smallest feet possible. :D
i don't think it's gross, though most people do....

Not necessarily. I mean the concepts may be the correlative but we do not necessarily share the same history if you are talking about ones self. In past our history may cross with others but that does not mean that everything in history effects someone. At least I do not believe so. What you say is very confusing. I may have misunderstood. I apologize if I did.

Nope it doesn't, because the concept is the same. The reasons are for power, money[which is power], honor, land[which is power] and restoration or making a point [aka revolutions] those are the basics reasons and concept of it. I think i missed one. But it really is not different.

I said it before

French americian war. The Native Americans were out numbered, out gunned, and behind in technology. Yet they were able to stand against these foreigners with Bows and stone stone tipped arrows, knifes, and stone axes. They lost a lot of the battles, the most famous battle they won; The Battle Of Little Horn. Thats some amazing stuff.
