i myself personally hate online viewers because they always take a long time to load... and if they dont take a while, it usually means that the image has been scaled down to a much lower quality... i find it so much easier to download volumes and flip through with cdisplay... of course, this has made my collection grow 100+ gb... ><... lol...

also, manga is already pretty easy to get ddls of than videos because of their much smaller file sizes... so there's not a really big need to put them on cr... it looks like it load pretty fast though... =)

and commenting on the scanlator topic: i know of some groups that get really touchy about people distributing their scanlations outside of their irc channel/bittorent... and it gets bothersome to keep track of it all... most dont mind though...

speaking about the legal stuff-i dont think it'll be too much of an issue... i know some anime companies send cease and desist letters, but i've never heard of a manga company doing it...

and the themes in many mangas... each series should be labeled with genres... especially more controversial stuff like yaoi, ecchi, or smut... people might stumble upon things that they don't want to because they didn't have a warning... or else not upload things like that at all...

also-would each page of the manga have to be uploaded one at a time? that would be about 200 pgs/volume... and some of the best series have 20+ volume...kudos to anyone who has the patience for that stuff... lol

well i dont see any prob with online magna as long as they dont breach any law ....and place english sub pls i want read^^but if we talking from cr point of view i dont know ....most likely it going to cost a decent sum ......

And, it would be hard to flip through all the chapters. Why not have a "manga" button on the top, and from there, you can select chapters and such. And post comments.

I'd love to see a manga section, though it'd be best to improve the upload process for those uploading large numbers of pages. (I can't get 3 pictures to upload at once let alone an entire book!)

well .. what could be that to speed up the uploading process w/big pictures and im pretty much sure the manga pics are gonna be if were talking about keeping original sizes. ..

that could be cool (^_^) or just have a page where you put other sites to download manga? like really reliable site, b/c I've been to a lot that don't even work...or I download it and nothing is there..so annoying lol, since bandwidth is such a big problem maybe thatd be a better idea?

i like the idea but I dont think its feasible..the bandwidth would be a big problem. Besides, there are other good sites which you can view or download manga from unlike anime.

^ well .. what do you think if CR also has Online manga viewing then?.. assuming the bandwidth issue has been resolve .. then it would be a better site than most sites having online manga and DL-able manga..

CR has streaming Anime + DL-able HQ Anime........... and if ever. ..(hopes so ^_^) + OL manga viewing ... then... why not add Manga Downloads. . so. .. OL Anime + DL-able HQ anime + OL manga viewing + Manga Download (hehe) is = Greatest OL/DL site ever .. . ..

My only concern with hosting mangas is the bandwidth issue. Then again I think it only makes sense that crunchyroll should host mangas.

I would definitely be down to help. And (of course this is only if it gets approved) could we upload doujins? (meaning mangas by lesser known artists or studios using other studios characters)

Actually, if I took something like "re-take" which is an ecchi play on Evangelion and edited the nudity out of it completely could I post it? because it also has an EPIC storyline. <.< ok, so im going a little off topic.
