I don't think this is a good idea. We have many other sites for this, and might burden the site rather than bring more contributors. After all, crunchyroll was originally made to be a collection of videos, not manga.

I like the Idea a lot. The UI needs a little work though. Even with a screen res set to 1600X1200 I still had to scroll down to see it all. Slightly lower res images would probably solve the problem. very cool idea though. I would love to see a manga section on CR. Now that I think about it, it kinda seems strange that there isn't one. You gotta start somewhere though...

I really think its a good idea to have manga here. Cuz sometimes anime is just to long to wait

hmmm, most online manga site alwayz end up closing since they also have to pay alot for the hosting just like the video. so im not soo sure about it but o well, if he can make it free online hosting it then i dont mind.
here is a example, too much picture just like video, waste alot of space and when that happen, it will end up paying.
think about it first before u go on sayin itz a great idea.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't fond of this idea. There are so, so many different places to get manga.

However, I'm all for a manga forum.

i guess it would be alright.. but it would be at shinji's expense.. he'd have to get a bigger server! and.. we would be without video's.. for Days!! *gasp!*

Yea I don't like this idea at all. I get video hosting because some people can't leech of IRC or bittorrent but manga is generally small enough to download for them. By adding in online viewable manga, this site is only going lose more bandwidth with the amount of pictures. Stop being lazy and download manga yourself. They're only like 2-3 mb and look a lot nicer.

..o_o whoa. What kind of manga are you downloading? A single chapter might be 2 mb, but an entire volume can easily be around 60.

Still thats not much and if you don't want to clutter your hard drive just burn it in a CD.

Yeah. It's easier to burn it to a cd. Thats what I do. And plus, you can trade it and throw it out the window when you're done with it. Cds fly great.

Well most people since they don't have the space anyway delete the episode after watching. I'm assuming just one chapter you read and then delete it for people who complain about now being able to watch it online.

A whole volume also doesn't really take up that much space anyway either. It's far below any one episode.

I made the comparison with chapters and episodes because those are the smallest individual units. If you're going to compare volumes then you have to go to whole seasons for tv series.
