Here's one of my many ideas.

Other's have suggested it but no one came up with a viable way of doing this. First off, I would like to say that I don't want anyone doing this on their own. You would have to PM a moderator and get permission from them, which will be easy to get as long as you've been an active member for at least a month and have not been troublesome. This is just a test to see how much interest there is for this idea, so this method of hosting it is just temporary. If it's popular and Shinji approves of it, hopefully we'll have a whole section dedicated to it.

Now on to my idea. Utilizing the Profile Photos feature, I have made 3 profiles for 3 different Manga and uploaded the first Volume of each into their respective Profile Photos section (which you can see by clicking on the More Photos link under the avatar). Profile photos are limited to 17 pages but they do spill over to more pages. You just have to change the URL (ex 'pg=16' to 'pg=17'). Normal users are to not use this method and upload over 200 photos.

As I've said above, only people with permission will be allowed to upload but that's only if a dedicated section is made. So don't ask for permission to upload until we officially announce it. If it works as I've planned, approved users will organize a specific Manga by themselves and then be locked out of adding/deleting stuff after they are done. If one of the approved users intentionally uploads the wrong stuff, we'll simply delete that whole section and have someone else start from scratch. The finalized system should work a lot like the Profile Photos system. It will just have a more Manga specific interface. I have more specific details on how this will work, but it's not necessary to disclose at this time.

If we find any non-approved profiles solely used to upload Manga, the whole account will probably be deleted.

So give your thoughts and opinions. Just don't hold your breath for this section to become official. It might take a while.

I think this is an awesome idea! I also like the profile style that you created it in...very neat and organized ^_^...hopefully this will become a permanent part of CR as this is the one thing that it has been missing, in my opinion. Thanks for taking the time to test this out. ^_^

Oh hell yeah, I support it. I won't need to download them anymore this way (which annoys me as hell) so i can just view em online. Heck, i'll even sell something to donate to CR if you're serious about that!

You could use 'Buddy Me!' to link to other manga titles with similar types or themes.

I think it's a great idea. But don't you need to get the scantlator's permission to host the manga?

Good idea! No clue why I didnt think of that. Actually i was going to make a profile for each separate volume and i wasn't sure how I was gonna link them together, so I could just Buddy the other Volumes and people can just click on them.

I think we should leave it at just these three Manga until something is officially decided upon. I'll try to upload the rest of the volumes but there will be no more after that unless it's officially adopted.

I would like that alot actually and if it does go through I would help find different manga to upload. *nods*

yeah i like that now i can read manga without downloadin them i totally agree ( cuz my computer is soooo slow)

Sounds cool saves me time downloading them and i've got a ton of manga to contribute when its approved
