blueoctober 219 cr points Send Message: Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 12/12/08 if you watched bleach memories of nobody i think they kind of tell you. here is my thought. the spirits of their sword chooses the shinigami based on their level of reiatsu and experience that they have gained through the shinigami academy. if you take a look at toshiro (ice dragon captain) in his younger days he was known as the genius and the ice dragon chose him to be his wielder and his swords is known to be the most powerful ice based sword in soul society. that is just my thought.
