I realize that Gintama may not be the most popular anime in crunchyroll. I mean thats my opinion and you guys might disagree but i dunno... hahaha...xtually rating it 5 is pretty much an insult itself. dis anime soooo deserve better than that.

i did crunchy every ep of gintama. but i really dun mind if it not become the most popular. i kind of like to being 1 of a kind. it sound special

I agree that Gintama should be more recognized than it is now. However, this show just isn't mainstream enough and probably won't be taken seriously by many because it doesn't have a more or less linear plot line. However, those who have tried end up loving it. Especially those who have been watching anime for a long time (with all the references and all).

I tell all my friends about this series, but not many seem to bother to try, especially the ones who exclusively watch the Mech type anime...

I even try telling them that watching Gintama will cure the blues, and that it beats Prozacs any day!!

I'm actually content with how well, not popular it is. Some of the topics here are rather, well, empty. Substance-wise. All pairings and weeaboo-esque topics like, 'how kawaii!'. I dreaded to see that coming into the fandom, but coming over here, I guess even Gintama isn't safe. I dread to think what would happen if this got licensed and aired somewhere, like on Adult Swim. The chances of that happening are low, but I hate to think what would happen if it became mainstream. Sure, I think this show deserves a lot more recognition, and it's one of the only Shounen Jump series I like. It's clever in the way that it's somewhat parodying itself, yet it's so subtle, you'd think it's just a comedy.

Although I constantly pester everybody i know who watches anime to try watching Gintama, I don't really mind it if they don't. Yes, Gintama deserves way more praise and admiration, but I'm kinda proud to be one of its few fans.
For example, at conventions, when my boyfriend and I cosplayed as gintama characters..the few people who recognized us understood all our little inside jokes while other people are like "wtf are they doing."

It makes me feel like being part of an elite underground organization of Gintama worshippers. hehe

LOL seriously I cant even stand watching Naruto on toonami im sorry but ugh the voice acting isnt that bad but i dont think ANYONE can have a fabulous voice like Gins.(Tomokazu Sugita)

Well all i said was in my opinion i think its not that popular and also i think it does deserve to be BUT your also right. As long as the small amount of fans like ourselves like it it doesnt matter I just think we should at least crunch the episodes it doesnt hurt right?

I just don't want to see all the Naruto fans migrate over to it; Gintama is so much better than that, and it really doesn't deserve it.

i don't mind either if Gintama is popular or not. Yeah Gintama should get more recognition than it desveres, but still the series is awesome. i bet most of the people who watch it crunch the episodes anyway.

You all just don't get it do you ...

The more people Gintama reaches the more people likely chance that Gintama is subbed faster

Just like how Flomp Subs was created, tons of people wanted Bleach and now two groups are working on it

Now when Gintama rises to the top, people will be like - I WANTO BE IN THAT SUBBING GROUP

And we'll get faster releases because more people are willing to help

Even though it's not likely most people will take this course of action, don't we want to higher the chances of faster releases AS MUCH AS WE CAN?!!!

Subbing groups are always in need of more staff

This should be how you all think!
