What do you think is the MAXIMUM age difference for any youngish couple (12 - 40)?

For me, 3-5 years.

I'd feel awkward dating someone more than five years older than me.

As long as they're in love and over 18 it doesn't matter.

12-40 is a pretty big age range.

I think it depends on the age. For example, there is a huge difference in maturity between a 12 year old and a 17 year old, but not so much difference between a 35 year old and a forty year old, even though the number of years is the same.
