Byakugan
Translation: White Eye
Clan: Hyuuga Clan
Description: Multiple white vein around both in-large white eyes

The Byakugan, which translates directly into "White Eyes" is a special technique that can only be used by advanced bloodlines such as the Hyuuga clan. This special technique has everything to do with the users eyes, which literally turn into White eyes.

The Byakugan is far different from the Sharingan however, unlike the Sharingan this technique can not copy moves. Although it can not copy moves, the Byakugan may just be better then the Sharingan, as Kakashi admits. The Byakugan gives the user the unique and devastating ability to be able to see through nearly anything, as well as the ability to know what a person is thinking just by the movements of his/her eyes. A good example of this would be in episode 46, when Neji telles Hinata that because she is looking to the top-left corner of her eyes she is recalling a painful past event.

Along with the two previously mentioned great abilities that the Byakugan has, it also posesses the extremely deadly ability to be able to see the opponent's inner Chakra Center, and be able to attack it directly! In the case of Hyuuga Neji, he is able to see his opponents Tenketsu (chakra points) and attack them. This is a very remarkable ability when you take into consideration that there are 361 points throughout the body on the Keirakukei (chakra highway), and each point is just about the size of a needle point. If they are hit directly, they could theoretically stop that persons chakra flow altogether.

With all those fascinating abilities, the Byakugan can still do more! It gives the user the ability to see 360 Degrees around him. This means that a Byakugan user cannot be attacked from behind, unless the attacker is

Cursed Seals

The Curse Seal was developed by one of the Legendary Sannin, Orochimaru. The seal is used as a form to control the person and a technique to literally kill the person through suffering. A person with the curse seal only has a 10% chance of surviving. If the evil curse seal has consume a person's body, that person will gain tremendous dark chakra and increase their strength and speed, giving them level 1 curse seal. The curse seal can active at anytime. A person's will is able to stop the curse seal from spreading or active it.

To obtain level 2 curse seal, a person must lost his life, not actually died but fake death. The person will eat the Seishingan drug and is placed inside a container, sealed with seal symbol. The drug will make the person fall into a coma, much like near death. When the Seishingan drug have fully consume the person, that person has achieved level 2. Anyone that stay in level 2 form for a certain amount of time will lose themselves forever and become evil.



Sasuke Uchiha
Curse Seal
Sasuke's curse seal is known as the Heaven Seal. It is the strongest and powerful of all the curse seal. He received the mark during the 2nd stage of the Chunin Exam. It was merely a test for Sasuke to see how strong an Uchiha bloodline is.


Curse Seal Level 1
Sasuke achieved level 1 curse seal when the curse seal had consume his body. It took over his body during the fight against the 3 Sound Ninja, giving him big amount of chakra. The spreading of the curse seal will active the level 1 curse seal.


Curse Seal Level 2
After taking the Seishingan drug and placed inside the container, the drug was able to fully consume Sasuke and somewhat killed him. He must died to obtain level 2 curse seal. In this level, Sasuke light brown and grew longer hair and has 2 wings. This form makes his Chidori (Lightning Edge) turn black instead of white. Sasuke doesn't stay in this form long because he doesn't want to lose himself forever


Jiroubou
Curse Seal Level 1
Jiroubou probably received the curse seal when Orochimaru was scouting for an army. The curse seal spread in a triangle style. His strength increases.



Curse Seal Level 2
His level 2 curse seal grant him 10 times the normal strength. His skin turns reddish and his hair is extended longer.

Kidourmaru probably received the curse seal when Orochimaru was scouting for an army. The curse seal spread in a vine style. He is able to control and manipulate spiders and spider webs.


Curse Seal Level 2
His level 2 curse seal turn him into a werewolf like. His skin turns red and has a fluffy hair and contain a third eye on his forehead. His body is protected and surround by spider web. His able to make bow and arrows with his mouth and shoot them.

mimaro Kaguya
Curse Seal
Kimimaro's seal is known as the Earth Seal. It is the 2nd strongest and powerful as the Heaven Seal. He probably received the curse seal when he was a wandering kid. He is able to manipulate his bone structures and use them as weapons.

The curse seal spread like a maze.




Curse Seal Level 2
His level 2 curse seal turn him dinosaur like creature. He has a tail and has 3 large bones sticking from his spinal cord. In this form he able to use his spinal cord as a weapon and create a flowering spear.

Sakon - Ukon
Curse Seal Level 1
Sakon probably received the curse seal when Orochimaru was scouting for an army. Sakon has a twin brother name Ukon that lives inside him. He's able to enter a person's body and destroy the person's cell from the inside. Ukon surface when Sakon summon him or on his own will. The seal spreads like a bold line.


Curse Seal Level 2
His level 2 curse seal, Sakon and Ukon each grow a horn on opposite side and a metal armor on the opposite side of the horn. In this form he is able to summon Orochimaru's strongest defense, the seal gate Rashomon.

Tayuya probably received the curse seal when Orochimaru was scouting for an army.

Her level 2 curse seal, Tayuya grow 5 horns and turn dark brown. In this form she is able to use her Genjutsu techniques, the Demonic Flute: Illusion Harmony.

izuki Touji
Curse Seal
This seal was sealed within Mizuki during his mission as a Chunin. He was bitten by Orochimaru's hidden snake in his right arm. This seal is different from other Orochimaru's seal.


1st Effect from Red Potion
To achieve his perfect form, Mizuki stole 3 medical ingredients from Narake (Nara Laboratory) and mixed them together to get a reddish chemical. The red chemical increased the sizes of his arms, his face looks like a tiger and 3 black stripes on both of his biceps.


2nd Effect from Red Potion
Mizuki will power up his aura to gain a distinct Tiger look. He has orange fur and white fur in the mid section. Stripes covers his arms and shoulder blade. In this form he divert his speed into power, making his reflexes slower but more power in his punches and kicks.


Final Effect from Red Potion
Mizuki's body began to change into an old and brownish body because of the incomplete medicine ingredient Mizuki drank (created during Orochimaru experiment for forbidden jutsu). The medicine take animals identity and infuse them with human to generate power but its only temporary. It put strains on the cell causing them to rotten and age

3 Headed Snake

This symbol was created by the Sand Ninja during the Invasion of Konoha. The Symbol, representing 6 corner that require 6 ninja to perform the technique in parallel with a scroll. When processes is finish, the ninja will slam the scroll against the ground and a 3 head snake will appear. Heaven Curse Seal symbol on the snakes' head.

Naruto Uzumaki - Ramen Fan
Naruto is a huge fan of ramen, a Japanese noodle dish that is served with a variety of toppings, such as beef, pork, shrimp, and vegetables. When Kakashi asked Naruto on the first day they met about his likes and dislikes, all Naruto could talk about was ramen, and how he liked to eat it and compare different types. Ramen has been his motivation many times to complete a task. One instance is when he had to clean the monument of the Hokage faces. Iruka said that he would treat him to ramen after he cleaned them up, and Naruto excitedly replied, "now that's some serious motivation!" Naruto's favorite ramen restaurant is located right in the Hidden Leaf Village, the Ichiraku Ramen Bar, which he claims is the best ramen in the world. If he could, Naruto would eat ramen at Ichiraku Ramen all day, everyday for the rest of his life.

Rock Lee - Trains out of his Brains
Rock Lee is an extremely hard worker. He was born with no talent as a ninja, and was considered a looser, but thanks to sheer determination, and the faith from his idol, Might Gai, Rock Lee has become one of the best Taijutsu specialists in the world. In his spare time he all he does is train in hopes to become even better than he is now. In fact, he makes everyday routine activities, such as just walking from point A to B, into training sessions, and will set the bar of work higher than it was before. He'll say something like "If I can't walk on my hands to where I want to go, then I will have to do 1000 sit-ups. And if I can't do 1000 sit-ups, then I will have to do 2000 push-ups!" and will actually do them, even when he knows nobody is watching.

He will never let anybody in his sight, take the last chip or piece of steak, for example, and will quickly grab it and savor it before the other person can even lay their hand on it!

And if I can't do 1000 sit-ups, then I will have to do 2000 push-ups!" and will then actually do them, even when he knows nobody is watching. Additionally, he loves to emphasize, to Lee especially, about "The Power of Youth". This means that when your young, you have the ability to do anything if you put your mind and heart into it.

Tsunade is a compulsive gambler. Whenever she finds an opportunity to gamble, whether it be the slots, a bet, through cards, or something else, she jumps at it. Unfortunately for Tsunade, she has terrible luck. As a result, she has been labeled as "The Legendary Sucker" for the gross profits others have made off her misfortune and gambling addiction. Despite her bad luck, she feels she will eventually catch a winning streak. The back of Tsunade's jacket is a symbolizes her personality, and ultimately her hobby - the Kake Kanji symbol meaning "gamble".

Sakura Haruno - Genius with a Sasuke Obsession
Sakura has two hobbies. First of all, she loves quizzes and memorizing things. She is extraordinarily smart book-wise, and shows her abilities when her teachers put her to the test. Her other hobby is to crush on Sasuke Uchiha. Many of the things Sasuke does or says is interpreted by Sakura as cool or smart. On the first day they met, Kakashi asked Sakura to introduce herself to the team (Team 7) by telling them her likes, hobbies, and future goals. For all three, Sakura looked at Sasuke with a girlish-hope.

Jiraiya - Big Pervert
Jiraya loves beautiful women. Specifically, beautiful women revealing themselves in some way. When he's not training Naruto (actually even when he is), Jiraiya peeps at women who are taking a bath or playing around. He claims it to be "research" so that he can write a book for his best selling "Make Out" novel series (the same ones Kakashi loves to read), but in reality he just loves looking (and spending time with) beautiful women. And make no mistake, Jiraiya is absolutely proud of it!

Ebisu - Closet Pervert
Like Jiraiya, Ebisu loves to look at beautiful women too! Unlike Jiraiya though, Ebisu is "hush hush" about it. He tries to keep his guilty pleasure a secret, and tries to act like he is above and against looking at gorgeous, and naked women. When nobody is looking though, Ebisu is sure to try and catch himself a view!

He wishes he could always relax and be trouble-free all the time like the clouds. Shikamaru also loves to play Shogi, a Japanese version of chess. Even though he is sitting down, and for the most part not really doing anything, his intelligence does show here. Chess is a game of wits, and he is a master at the game, always defeating his teacher Asuma.

Clans
There are many clans in existence for power or carrying the name of their ancestors. The Kaguya Clan are greedy people with advance bloodlines who thirst for killing, while the Uchiha, Akimichi, Aburame, and Hyuga Clans have advance bloodline limits that are carry down from their ancestors and are peaceful clans. Other clans include the Fuma Clan, Wasabi Clan, and Wagarashi Clan. There have been many clans but some are extinct

Advance Bloodline: Sharingan

The Uchiha Clan is the most well known and most powerful of clans. They are based in the Leaf Village. Their traditional clothing consist of a fan (clan logo) on their back clothes. Their clothes are rather dark in color, high neck shirt and long hair. They are small individual who carried an advance bloodline, called the Sharingan. The Sharingan is able to replicate any ninjutsu and taijutsu once it has copied it. The clan secret meeting place is located in the main temple of the Nakano Shrine, underneath the 7th tatami (from top) mat on the far right side. Also found in here is the family secret, the Uchiha eye technique, Mangekyou Sharingan. They head the Konoha Police Force. They have a special tribute, that when an Uchiha has master the Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu (subject to change), that individual is no longer consider an child but an adult. This is a very peaceful clan with no war history with any villages or clans or political affair. But one evening, the clan was wiped out by an ANBU Captain, Uchiha Itachi, also part of the Uchiha Clan. There are only 2 survivors of the clan, Itachi and Sasuke.

Note: According to the back-flash, we found out that only the male seems to carry this ability. No female is seen to have this ability.
Note: To possess the Mangekyou Sharingan, an Uchiha must kill his/her best friend. Only 2 have this eye technique. What they literally mean by best friend is not certain.

Kaguya Clan

The Kaguya Clan was considered warmongers. They hate peaceful villages and countries. They are people who would start a war with any village or countries than to work it out politically. Their existence is to constantly fight and ease their pain. Their traditional clothing consist of a long velvet shirt and pant. Their hair is tied into 2 ball like pig-tail. One year they started a war against the Village of the Mist, knowing fully that they were outnumber in size, men, and power. Their blood thirst for battle cost everyone in clan their life except one, Kimimaro. Until recently, the Kaguya Clan is no more. Kimimaro's death brought an end to their existence. The clan is known for their ability to manipulate bones to their desirability. They can create more than the 206 bones found in a regular human beings.

Note: According to the back-flash, we found out that only Kimimaru possess this ability. No other members showed this ability during the battle.

Aburame Clan

The Aburame Clan is rather quiet about their existence. They have the special ability to communicate and control bugs. They control bugs with their mind. Apparently their anatomy also consist of bugs. They are able to produce bugs at any time. The newborn is given up to the Kikari, or destruction bug. Both benefits from the ritual, the Kikai receives chakra as food while the newborn receives the bugs for protection and combat. The Aburame Clan is not known for their ability to do hand combats or any special jutsu. Rather, they have their bugs friends to fight for them in battle. Their traditional clothing consist of a big jacket that extend up passed their nostril. They always wear sunglasses.

Akimichi Clan

The Akimichi Clan is a small clan but are big in size. Their special ability is to super-size any parts of their body, whether it's the arms, legs, or just their head. We only get to see 2 members of this clan but we may conclude that every members is large in size. Their other ability is the Meat Tank, it which they roll themselves up like a meat ball and roll at great speed. They have the appetite for junk food, chips and candies. Their trump card or forbidden weapon is the Blue Pill, Yellow Pill, and Red Pill. It is only to be use as the last resort because it will cause the body harm and possible death.

Hyuga Clan

Advance Bloodline: Byakugan

The Hyuga Clan consist of the Head Family and Branch Family. The first born of the Head Family will take the title as the "Head Family". The second born of the Head Family will take the title as the "Branch Family". Any child of the Branch Family will remain secondary to the Head Family. The Head Family is the one to carry on the secret of the Byakugan and the Branch Family is the one to protect it. The Branch Family is given the Curse Seal (X) at age 3 to insure their loyalty. The Head Family is able to control the magnitude of the Curse Seal with a simple hand seal. When a person with the curse seal dies, their advance ability dies with them. Hizashi always held a grudge against his older twin brother, Hiashi, because he is not the Head Family. Because the Head and Branch never see eye to eye, only the Head Family children are able to fully master the Byakugan and the Branch is seen as the weakling. An incident happen when one Cloud Village ninja was killed by Hiashi for wanting to steal the family secret. Hiashi wanted give up his life to save the secret but the higher authority suggested Hizashi, with his consent. Hizashi dead because it was his will to do so and to protect his family and friends, not to protect the secret of the Hyuga Clan. Another taijutsu is known as the gentle fist.

The Fuma Clan is a very small clan, consisting of low rank ninja. Though they are a small clan, they are proud of who they are and members have a special bond of trust. They can be found in the Rice Field Country but have no permanent village, as the Sound Village was created after the breakup of the Fuma Clan. The breakup started when the Feudal Lord of the Rice Field Country wanted to increase its supply in the country, thus starting a war with the Gold and Silver Country. They fought hard for their country but went home defeated. Their pride and spirit were shattered, even the clan itself became an humiliation. A New Messenger name, Orochimaru, with his gangs convince the them to join the Sound Village and in return will help rebuild the Fuma Clan. Many stayed but some went in search of hope. Those that went (eg. Arashi) became sacrifice and are eventually killed. Those that stay (eg. Sasame) either hid from embarrassment or became thieves. The clan is in a recovery period.

The Wasabi Clan is the Wagarashi's Clan greatest enemy and rival. For many years the two clans have been fighting for ownership of the Degarashi Port. Wasabi Jirocho founded the clan since the clan is named after him. He never had a trusted person in his life until they day he met Idate Marino. Idate and Jirocho have made the Wasabi Clan strong and he gave them hope. The Wasabi Clan was able to win the Todoroki Shrine Race, which is held every four years, and won controlled of the Degarashi Port. Along with the victory, the Wasabi Clan will take over as the supreme Clan of the Tea Country and the Wagarashi is broken up, for cheating (making some deal with someone).

The Wagarashi Clan is the Wasabi's Clan greatest enemy and rival. For many years the two clans have been fighting for ownership of the Degarashi Port. Kyuroki founded the clan since the clan is named after him. Kyuroki is a sneaky and cheating old man, who really wanted to win the Todoroki Shrine Race so bad that he made a deal with a certain person and even hired Aoi (Rain Village) to make sure that Idate doesn't make it to the finish line. He even complain about the Wasabi Clan cheating, when Naruto carried Idate and ran toward the shrine, to the Feudal Lord. But to his surprise, the Feudal Lord also caught him red hand and the Wagarashi Clan was forced to break up.

Kamezurui Clan

The Kamezurui Clan are insects user from the Village Hidden in the Rock. They are almost as famous as the Aburame Clan but due to their separation, lack of members and organized clan, they have been unrecognized by others. Also because of the Aburame Clan fame, the Kamezurui Clan was sitting sand. To redeem their status as the top bug user from the Rock Village, their mission is to find the Legendary Bikochu. Due to their lack of power, they cannot find the Bikouchuu without the help from the Aburame Clan, Shino. History: The Hidden Village of Rock plan an invasion of the Leaf Village and the Kamezurui Clan was to carry out the mission. When they arrived at the Bikouchuu Forest, they were met with resistance from the Aburame Clan. Over a thousand lost their lives but the clan lost more than lives. They lost power and fame.

Chuunin Exams

The Chuunin Exam occur two times a year. Gennin-level students who enter the Chuunin Exams have a chance to increase there rank from a Gennin to a Chuunin. High ranked ninja called Jounins act as proctors for the exam. They watch not only for a Gennin's physical power, but their will and mind power as well. That's why there are typically three stages in the Chuunin examination. In NARUTO, we only had a chance to see one Chuunin Exam in place. This Chuunin exam included a preliminary round before stage 3 to lower the amount of participants because it was being watched by different nations in the world of NARUTO.

Chuunin Exam Stage One: The Written Test

The first part of the Chuunin Exam was a written test, that tested the Gennins intellectual skills. In NARUTO, the exam we saw was proctored by a man named Ibiki Morino, who is a Jounin with a very interrogating personality. The tests which he gives are impossible to pass by a normal Gennin. Ibiki's rules include that there is no cheating allowed, and if they even try to cheat they will be caught by his assistants who have an excellent eye to notice suspicious activity. If he or any of his assistants (whom are watching the exam from round the room) catch a test taker they will get thrown out with his team mates.

The written test consists of ten questions. Participants will be graded as a team. So the grades will be based on for Naruto's team, for example, on the collective scores of Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke. Ibiki hands out to the test to the participants, and said that there are only nine questions written on the test. The tenth question will be asked verbally at the very end of the exam and at least one of the ten questions must be anwsered correctly by every team member, or else the whole team fails. When the test begins the participants are surprised by the difficulty of the exam. There are things on there that they have never seen before. Eventually some of the participants begin to cheat with some being caught. The ones that were not caught realized they had to cheat by using there special abilities. Sasuke, for example, used his Sharingan to view the pencil movements of a fellow test taker in order to get the answers.

Naruto is become angry, frustrated, and scared because he is about to fail the exam and make his team mates fail with him. Hinata who sits next to him, offers Naruto her test paper, but Naruto in fear, does not copy it. He only needs to get only one question write to get to the second stage of the exams. Because Naruto can not answer any of the questions and is afraid to cheat, he decides he'll wait for the 10th question and get that one right. Naruto thinks he can get it right and pass, but when Ibiki explains later on that if the person stays after being given the 10th and final question, and gets the question wrong, that person will remain a Gennin forever. Fortunately, for Naruto, the tenth question was to choose whether or not to leave the examination to avoid being a Gennin forever. Ibiki explains after the test that this part of the test was to determine ones will and mental strength in pressure situations and that the written test itself is not graded. The choice to continue on to take the test after being threatened that they will never rise in rank if they answer the tenth question incorrectly was the only question that attributed to the passing of the exam.

Chuunin Exam Stage Two: The Forest of Death

The second part of this exam is a test to survive in harsh conditions and is proctored by Anko Matarshi. Gennins who passed Ibiki's test can now enter The Forest of Death They call it the Forest of Death because of all the dangers that lye in it. Each team of three are given either a Heaven or Earth scroll. To pass this stage, they must get both scrolls. So, for example, if one team had the Earth scroll, they must fight another team that has a Heaven scroll in an attempt to take there scroll. After they have both scrolls, the team must report to the main tower in the middle of the forest by one week. Only 13 teams at most can pass this exam because there are a total of 26 scrolls with 13 Heaven scrolls and 13 Earth scrolls. Gaara and his teammates reach the tower in record time with both scrolls. During this exam a new villain by the name of Orochimaru appears. He eats the scroll given to Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke thus allowing for only 12 teams at most to pass. During the process Orochimaru bites Sasuke, giving him a cursed seal which gives Orochimaru the ability to control Sasuke.





Chuunin Exam Stage Three Preliminaries

Many students passed the Death Forest test, and since there were too many Gennins left it was decided that a preliminary round must be held. The preliminaries were held right after the completion of stage two without a break in between. A Jounin by the name of Hayate Gekko announced that there would be one on one fights, in which the winner of those fights gets to advance to the third and final stage. The rules were that the fight goes on until someone gives up, dies, or is unable to battle as decided by the proctor, Hayate Gekko. Each Gennin wanted needed to win no matter what, however, one by one people got eliminated and there were only 9 Gennins left at the end. The results are as follows:

Fight 03: Kankuro defeats Tsurugu Misumi
Fight 04: Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka knock each other and both do not advance to Stage 3.

Fight 06: Shikamaru Nara defeats Kin Tsuchi
Fight 07: Naruto Uzumaku defeats Kiba Inuzuka
Fight 08: Neji Hyuuga defeats Hinata Hyuuga
Fight 09: Gaara defeats Rock Lee
Fight 10: Dosu Kinuta defeats Choji Akimichi


Chuunin Exam Stage Three: The Final Exam

This final exam is a tournament where Gennins fight one one one with their opponents, in an arena full of thousands of people. They got a one months heads up after the preliminaries on who they are suppose to fight. There were suppose to be nine participants, however Dosu Kinuta did not show up and was, as a result, disqualified. The most awaited fight was Sasuke vs. Gaara due to all the fuedal lords, Kage's, and other people of power who came to see it. This exam had the becoming a Chuunin. If you win, however, it does not mean that you will be a Chuunin. It was to be decided by a committee of people in power who would be given the rank of a Chuunin. Because of Orochimaru, this Chuunin exam was never completed. During the fight between Sasuke and Gaara, Orochimaru began his terror. Gaara ran away and Sasuke ran after him. At the end, only Shikamaru Nara became a Chuunin because he was designated to not only be a great fighter, but an excellent strategist.
