Not unless you have no idea what you're doing.
Basic HTML isn't really that difficult, but once you delve into the more sophisticated aspect of it, it can become slightly hard. (PHP and MySQL don't seem to be that difficult, based on what I've seen).
Therefore... it shouldn't take longer than a few months tops, if you're really into it.

nah.. as long as you get the basics, you should do alright. (for html anyway +S)
hahaha i remember when asianavenue used to be like.. those html web making pages (back when it was cool), they provided a bunch of html helpers and all that. but after awhile, after you realised what each code does.. then it gets easier. i guess it just gets some getting used to xD

Just to say, no honest programmer would consider HTML a "real" language.

even though you can do some nices things with it.

MySQL takes very short time. As a comp sci major I could say I picked it up in less than a week, practically overnight. Same with PHP, but I just use that as much. As for HTML, never really needed to use it so I never learned! But I know the basics, and that didn't take long at all, not even a full day.

I'm only familiar with html cos making ebook(which i always do) , webpage and the likes are best with html coding. I never used PHP cos i don't undestand it - i think, PHP is a server side scripting-web programming language. Thus, the codes embedded on this page has to be ran on a server(web). MySQL is a database application - its an open source version of microsoft's MS SQL server. Usually if you're using PHP, its partner is mySQL. My friend use mySQL in her class as the database of the data coming from a given transaction like username and password and etc.

I do hope i'm making sense. LOL.

If you've learned other languages before this these should be a breeze. Even if you haven't programmed before they are the easier things to learn and there's tons of extra tutorials online to help you through with examples.

The best way to learn them is probably by using them so if you've got access to a database plug away through the tutorials. HTML is definitely the easiest of the three with SQL in a close 2nd ^__^ PHP does take more time to really master but considering the fun stuff you can do with it, it is definitely worth the first few frustrations.

HTML can easily be learned in like a few days... the rest are gonna take some effort... and I agree, program scripting is 10 as web scripting is 1
