I've never thought about it..but when I read this forum, I started to wonder if there is really called entertainment in that country,,

*goes to youtube to watch the performance of shinhwa in N.K.*

Oh my..I've watched the video of Shinhwa performing in the N.Korea..I was kinda scared because they're like robots(N.koreans) ..the girls didn't even smile while the Shinhwa was performing
I wonder what Shinhwa felt after they performed there..

hmm, i wonder. although i know there are a lot of dramas about north korea and it shows how kinda behind they are. like the girls there still wear thost 1950 red dresses for fancy occasions (or never, since it's pricey, the big ops do)

and i remember how shinhwa once went to north korea and did a concert. after the songs, they got nothing but blank looks because they never heard anything like kpop, i think they'd listen to the kinda oldy opera/pansori/etc things.

this probably isn't 100% true, but i remembered my dad telling me about the shinhwa thing (not that he's really into the group)

wow, people are really negative about communism here O_o

i'm not pro-communism, but i doubt that north korea doesn't have their own dramas or tv shows. people who live under communism aren't complete aliens, they're still human.

so i'm guessing that they do have dramas, but it's just not on the same wavelength as other asian dramas =]

if they do, there can't be too many of them... I think they only have 3 tv stations(all government-run, of course)?

actually... they do...... i think they're sorta different from actual Kdramas...
i happened to see one episode and yea.... alittle different....
and once they were interviewing a young actress.... but it was too long ago i don't really remember....
they also have a list of recommendations the communist leader gave to the directors and stuff.....
cuz he apparently loves to watch tv..... iono i thought it was very weird

I can't fully remeber off hand, but on the CNN Special...The first one not the one about the Symphony Orchestra, (I have a feeling everyone stuck on the fact I watch CNN...Anyway) They went to the movie studio and a they talk hugest actress of KN. She had said some like her first role was on a what we would acount to a Soap. Plus later one they talked to a old guy who rattled off a few of the things they could watch on tv, when they had time to. To be honest I wuld like to visite NK. It seems like a Sci-Fi utopia, becuase you can't wish for more when you don't know it's there....or soemthing like that. My Sci-Fi teacher would hate me now. Anyway, so I'm sure they have at less one show, since they do have movies.

No offence but some people's getting it wrong here, communism is not juche. NK is Juche JUCHE. YOu should read it in WIKI.

National Geographic made a documentary on North Korea and it's on Youtube.

It was said that they don't even have cell phones or internet there.

OMG at first I thought the topic title was "are there dramas in North America" and I read atchie013's comment,
I was like WDH you talking about, USA = Freedom of Speech all day. lol It didn't make sense to me until i read some other comments that mentioned north KOREA. >_<

Anyways, I don't think they have any dramas or at least the ones like south korea, japan, china etc..

if u search it up, you'll find lots of info's and i read that they do, im not sure how many they have but i know they do have them. they even had collaborations with south korea too and it was a movie..

ultimately if u look around you'll find that they do
