no they don't. i learn in high school (in korea) kim jong il controls all media and wants the public to know nothing of the outside world. there is news... i actually watched north korean news before. only about north korea and kim jong il. there is a cartoon too that is very full of propaganda...im not sure if its still on. i only saw it once. majority of people there dont even have access to television anyways.

Oh my..I've watched the video of Shinhwa performing in the N.Korea..I was kinda scared because they're like robots(N.koreans) ..the girls didn't even smile while the Shinhwa was performing
I wonder what Shinhwa felt after they performed there..

kkkk i live in south korea. ha ha that's obviously fake. first of all they don't allow south koreans into north korea at...FOR ANY REASON. the farthest anybody can go is the DMZ which is the dividing line between the two countries. and kim jong il would never let a music group preform. he strictly forbids things like pop music and anything seductive in nature i.e. the way they dance. second...cameras arent allowed north korea. the only footage ever taken there has been a quick picture at the dmz and ive heard people got footage there undercover but ive never seen and can't verify. so really don't trust everything you see on you tube. =P

- citizen there is train with army mindset at young age . ( Meaning - Not Happy ah Fight Lah )
Example the latest issue with north and south - a female south korean tourist on site seeing in north ( old lady ) was shot to death by a north korean soldier ( the soldier is 10 or 13 yr old girl , no kidding ) .

- i heard they eat babies ( during 1990s ) some bad thing happen there .. flood .. earthquake cannot remember .. their government took too much time to provide aids

- i watched a north korean TV News before , their anchor is an old maid .. bout 50 : /

- 1 man can have many wives

- Lots of drugs addicts , getting drugs is easy over then .. ( Olympics 08 n.korean shooter , fail drug test : / )

Where do you get all this?

A lot of people who sneaked into Cuba says that it's actually pretty good there, so I don't think North Korea's that bad, neither. It's probably rumors. For example, I doubt polygamy and baby-eating exists. In communism, gender equality is a big thing, there's no way that polygamy is legally allowed there.
The drug test at the Olympics is different from addicted drugs. It tests for things that makes one more capable of doing a sport(more energy, quicker muscle building, etc.). Also, an American runner failed the drug test, too. But then...getting drugs in the US is pretty easy, too.
