Bats are mammals, not insects. Some do suck the blood of various animals, although that species (vampire bats) lives mostly in South America. Bats are found all over the world, so it's no big surprise that they are common in myths worldwide. They're also the creepiest looking and sounding nocturnal creatures that I know of, and tend to evoke the imaginations of people. As to how the blood-sucking idea came up all over the world, I can't really say, but all or most (couldn't find out for sure) bats have fairly large fangs, which could lead someone to think that they use them to tear into flesh and suck blood.

I'm sorry that I didn't realized that the "group of girls" you talked to were more educated in Hispanic culture and history than the few certified teachers that I had, who spent years studying it.

I don't believe in ghosts. I think once we die we are sent to either heaven or hell. I do believe in demons and angels though, I have had first hand experience with demons (and no, not just Ouija boards or freaky shadows)

they totally exist. i've seen ghosts, and have come into contact with spirits several times. to me, its an undeniable truth.

I believe angels and demons exist. I heard that angels can show up and look like humans, like a random person that you meet could really be an angel but you don't know it that's why you have to watch how you treat people, it went something along that line. As for demons, those things are evil as we all hopefully know and they can posses people. Pretty messed up stuff, they can be really dangerous if you don't have Jesus on your side, because they shake in fear of Him. Yeah angels can kick a demons butt anyday!

I'm still deciding if I believe in any of those, although my imagination would like to. There's too much fake shit floating around to determine.

I believe in the supernatural. I've had experiences that changed my life. I don't like to talk about them because I understand I'd sound like a whack job. Non believers just have to experience things for themselves. Probably most of them never will because they don't believe in what it is they need to be looking for.

I agree with you. I haven't had anything happen that has changed my life but I understand why you wouldn't want to talk about them.


As far as believing in ghosts and demons and angels, yea I do. I think my house may be haunted and I've had small stuff happen to me. I tell people that are interested in the paranormal or friends that I know won't laugh in my face. I want to have someone to tell these things to.
The things that happen in my house are mainly knocking sounds, feeling like you're being watched, walking sounds when I'm alone or when everyone is sleeping and things being put behind doors so it stops the door from opening(just thinking about it is freaking me out). I've found my shoes and pillows behind my bedroom door when I'm trying to go in. There's absolutely no way that someone had done that. I've also seen a really dark small shadow under the door and I thought something was behind it and when I opened it, nothing was there. I closed it, thinking that maybe it would happen again but it didn't.
