To avoid yet another religious argument, let's just say God and angels and all that kind of stuff exists, and that the holy texts of the Abrahamic religions are true is.

We know that God and angels are real because religious texts tell us that they are. But they don't say anything about ghosts, or human souls wandering on Earth (as far as I know). So you're saying that because we can't see it, doesn't mean it's not real, right? So if someone told you that Santa Claus was behind you, but he's invisible and you can't touch him, hear him, or smell him in any way, and only the person who told you he's there can detect him, would you believe them? If that same person told you that an invisible leprechaun was digging through your pockets, but you can't feel him because he's invisible, would you believe them?

Really people? You'd rather disbelieve your own senses than give up an unfounded belief in some ludicrous metaphysical state of being?

You can believe in them but hey a lot of people believe in a lot of crazy things. I myself need some proof before deciding to believe in winged men who help people or spirits of the deceased who still wander the earth. Most "evidence" has been proved to be a faux or a natural phenomena, however a few sightings of spirits have been left unexplained. I don't really think there might be ghosts but some unexplained phenomena or hallucination might be possible. However I find angels and demons to pretty much the most implausible thing I've heard of in my life. They even make aliens sound realistic!

People need to get over the delusions of bronze age savages. Trust me, if god was as absolute as they preach him to be, he wouldn't need a bunch of winged men to help him. The whole angels hierarchy was just created because Christianity is a polytheistic faith carefully disguised as a monotheistic faith. People like to have some sort of special deity that they worship angels being one of the favorites. Be it your own personal one, or one of the mightier archangels.

I could go on and rant about they why of polytheism and things but I think I'd be wasting my time. I'd be surprised if any of you read this far.

i can't really say if they're real or not because i haven't experienced seeing one. if there would be a chance of me seeing them then it will prove something. but as of the moment, i haven't seen one yet.

i think they exist.... i hear stories from relatives that say they saw one and had encounters. so, i think they do. but as long as i don't think about them, i don't see any ^_^

i believe they're real....how else can you explain why people see spirits in haunted houses & stuff? =S

I think its a bit difficult to ask about. I dont have any proof that they do exist, but i do not have any proof that they dont exist. Anyway, i stick with what i think is the mostly true... They dont exist, people tell stories about ghosts and spirits but it doesnt make any sence to me. Its completly unlogic. Stil i dont know if angels are real or not, nobody knows what happens after we die. Heaven? Hell? Or do we just stop existing?

They see/feel/hear/etc something that they can't explain, so they come up with an easy explanation. Doesn't mean it's the right explanation, but accepting a false answer is easier than acknowleging that we don't have an answer.

maybe, but there have been people who witnessed a spirit or entity, & have been possessed....how can you explain that?
