are you serious? the twilight series is popular for a reason!! I was GREATLY disappointed in the 7th harry potter book, it was practically lame. I do like john grisham books also btw, there extremely good.

Yes, I've very serious, lulz. I think I'll offend all the Twilight fans but I have my own opinion after all, especially now that I've actually read the book. Both Harry Potter and Twilight didn't live up to the hype cooked up about both series, but I still maintain that Harry Potter was better written, despite the sucky last book. It had more plot twists and a lot of background work, but from what I've read in the first book of Twilight, the same thing is evidently not seen. Twilight felt more like a better worked piece of fanfiction rather than a novel, there are too many cheesy dialogues and unrealistic details.

(: I'm a book critic.

Are you saying I shouldn't waste my time reading the Twilight books? Because, I'm sure there are better things I could be doing then...

I heard from my friend that twilight ended with

so that instantly turned me off from even wanting to continue the series. I mean, I'm all for happy endings (who isn't?) but that's so cliche.

Dx Sorry, Twilighters.

And Gossip Girl is another series that people are reading simply for the trend =_= Some of us have been reading and persuading our friends to read it since years ago, but now people are reading just because it's the "IN" book and because it became a TV drama. Sigh.

Any fans of Scott Westerfeld here?

twilight didnt end with that but

i hate gossip girl, theres no point to it!

I'm talking about twilight as in the series, not the book lol.

I kinda like Gossip Girl cos I like books about bitchy girls. Don't ask me why. It's intriguing to read about the lives of the rich and not-so-glamorous.

Scott Westerfeld wrote books like the Midnighters, a very fantastic series about a group of teenagers who are able to live in the special hour, a frozen blue hour between midnight and one o'clock. They all possess qualities and powers of their own which gives them the ability to protect themselves and later, the existence of humanity against the creatures who live in the blue hour. He also has two other series, Uglies and Peeps. The former is set in a very advanced century where everyone is able to change their looks to turn into devastatingly beautiful people once they reach a certain age, but there is a sinister secret behind this seemingly wonderful gift. Peeps is also something from a more advanced century and is kind of like vampire stories in a sense, because it's about people who pass a virus to other people they kiss, and these people become creatures who hate everything they used to love and slowly become self-destructive.

Another author I like is Phillip Pullman, the person who brought you the story behind the movie the Golden Compass.

i liked midnighters, but the ending made me so mad! i wish there was another book for that series. Uglies was a good book, peeps was okay, not as good as i could have been

i havent read the golden compass, it sounded sort of boring....

hmmm.....The warrior heir was good.....

Yeah me too! I can't believe the series ended just like that, I need more T_T

Uglies made me think a lot, so I quite liked it. Peeps pales a little in comparison to the rest of his books but imo I think it's still alright ;x

Golden Compass definitely isn't boring.. the movie made it kinda bad but the entire series of His Dark Materials is definitely a must-read.

O: I've never read the warrior heir yet.

The warrior heir was really good/a great and terrible beauty by libba bray (more for girls then guys)/ uhhhhhh.....THE HOST!
best book ever/ ect ect ect

I need to go back to the library it seems...
But not for a while, 'cause I started reading Twilight. It is exactly as xVeron described, like it jumped from the pages of a shojo manga. It seems way too simple to read. It isn't filled with British English like some other books I've read. That is nice...
