*WARNING* When I say "manga" and "anime" i'm not refering to one type, i mean manga and anime in general.
A lot of people say they prefer manga over anime. Some of the reasons are because the manga delves into the storyline more and the anime sometimes has too many fillers. Some people say the anime takes too long to catch up to the manga but if you don't read the manga you won't know which episodes are filler or not. And because you skip ahead, watching the anime is gonna lose some of it's appeal because you've seen it before. Why even watch the anime when you're gonna say stuff like"this never happened in the manga" So my question is, does manga ruin the anime for you?

nope doesnt ruin it at all for me I like seeing them move and talk after reading the manga, and when they change the story at all its just like an addition on my fav characters (^_^), or I even like doing it the other way around sometimes watching the anime makes me want to read the manga...

It depends on the series to be honest. For action kind of shows it's alright because it easier to visualize the movements. But then on some other types it's predictable because you know everything. Most of the time I'm ok with it but shows like Death Note are a little bit try sometimes for me after I read the manga.

Overall not really to me. For example Naruto, i just stick with manga, rather than the boring, plently of filler anime.
Sometimes i do think its better to just go with the anime too, since like Yakitate Japan, the manga wasnt drawn very nicely, but the anime is so much better
I dont care though, since manga doesnt really ruin the anime.

i don't have a problem with it because i don't read manga. i prefer anime. i think if i did though like with naruto i'd know just to wait for shippuuden instead of watching the fillers.

I suppose when you put it that way, Manga's would ruin the anime, and vice-versa. I am one of these people who rather manga to anime, because it is the original, and I can get to it without a computer in front of me ^_^ Anime's are good too, because then you can hear the "voices" of the characters, and there's a soundtrack to go with it, so you can listen to music and associate it with your favorite manga.
I, personally, relate to a story of a manga, and the same story of an anime as different stories altogether. That way, I having twice as much storyline

I rather read the manga then watch the anime.
Most of the time the manga would go slightly further than the anime.

No because I always watch the anime before reading the manga... if i read the manga. I find it just fills in some stuff I might not have understood in the anime. But I much rather anime of manga... manga is so. .. lifeless and unemotional. Plus It kinda gives me a headache to read sometimes o_o

yes. at least for me is kind of complicated to keep track of what happens in anime and what i already read in manga soooo i have figured out a solution... that is eighter watch it first and after a while read it. so far is working pretty good

1) You know some of you could just skip the fillers
2) Sometimes I don't think the anime is based of the manga, for example a movie about robots and pirates comes out but then a mini series comes out, just because the mini series holds the name of the movie doesn't mean the storyline has to be the same or similar for that matter, unless it says "based of the movie"
3) I prefer anime, just because manga came first doesn't mean it's the best, I like animation more than reading, and that goes for american comics as well.

I personally prefer manga over anime; like you said it gets into the storyline more and there's no fillers. Also when I read the manga and then I watch the anime the voices are totally not what I expected. Thats why I dont watch that much anime anymore, but rather dramas!
