If my parents rejected someone on something as stupid as not being the same race as me, then I wouldnt really care what they think.
Race shouldnt, but unfortunately do, matter to some.
On a side note, does race or religion matter more to parents?

Yeah, i would continue dating him. im not really sure if my parents care about what race thee boy is BUT i did go out with a brazilian for 2 years and my parents didnt like him. but im guessing it wasnt only because of his race. he was a jerk. ugh.
but anyways, id stay with that person if i knew i LOVED them. if not, i might actually consider my parents opinion for a second.

I asked my parents what they thought about me marrying or dating a different race when I was younger. They said that race did not really matter.They thought that it would be hard to make the relationship last because of cultural differences. But the most important thing that they stressed is that the person had to have the same values as I did. In other words, they say it is okay, but they don't think the relationship will work out. |
