My grandmother is not a big fan of whitexblack couplings, but I think that's just because in Memphis, you see them act and dress like gangsters and it's unappealing. If I dated a friend of mine that was black but dressed and acted white (so to speak), she would mumble, but would tolerate it. As for the rest of my family, they'd be cool with it as long as he or she respects me and them.

I will continue dating them, race doesn't matter. Plus I'm from many ethnicity's so my parents would be hypocrites if they didn't approve.

Why not? One of my childhood friends loved horses, and I used to joke about him having sex with one. And guess what he did?

Well, I don't know. Never spoke to him again.

Of course, I doubt my parents are that racist to prevent me from being with this person. If they did, that is just messed up. :x

Certainly yes, because I love pissing my parents off.

Yes. My life. He's going to live longer than they do... so when they die, their opinions wouldn't matter anymore. Might as well stay with the guy I've been with. durrrrr

Absolutely. I'm not going to let my parents opinions stunt my happiness, especially over something like my boyfriends race. Besides, they each married outside of their races; my moms mexican & my dad black. They made that choice; why can't I?

Posted 10/9/12
I never date anyone WITHIN my race/ethnicity so... yeah. Besides it's not my parents dating that person it's me. So it's my decision.

Of course.

Who cares what color a woman is on the outside? They're all pink on the inside anyways. :)

I'd tell them to piss off, lol.

I remember when I was a kid I kept getting told off for having "too many Asian friends". Then again, my dad and stepmother had a list of people they would be friends with...If you were not white/too fat/had glasses, etc etc, you wouldn't meet the criteria.

It's the opposite, my father always told me that 'anyone can get a white girl.'

He would probably be proud in his own weird way.

If I really loved him I would fight to be with him, no matter what. Family is always family, and they just want you to be happy, so I'm sure that if it was a good person, my parents would learn to accept him.
