Darker Than Black Question and Answers

How did Mao die? I mean the anime didn't show his death scene.. all he did was just to run off, wasnt it? and why did Huang have to die? was it neccesary?? O-O

Mao lost his body before the series started, so in order to retain his knowledge and mind he needs to be connected to the syndicate server, but the server was disconnected because they were order to kill Hei and his team. That is why Mao is gone and the cat body he was using returned back to being a regular cat.

I have a question then. What about Yin? What was with her body? It looked as if it had become a spector itself, sorta. In one sense, I liked the anime and the ending was pretty cool, but at the same time I feel so agitated that it ended that way for Hei. His sister is still with him, yet in a sense she is gone and will never come back to him, his partners are dead (except for Yin I think, I'm still waiting on an answer from you to get an opinion if she really is dead or not), he didn't get to be with the 4 woman who I thought suited him (the police officer, the scientist girl, Havoc, and the blond-haired Contractor, sorta forgot her name), the fire Contractor girl seemed to have started working with the Syndicate I think (if that was her who attacked that male Contractor in the 24th or 25th episode, which would really tick me off because I wish she could have partnered up with Hei and his group specifically and joined their team), the Syndicate is still out there and after Hei which leaves the ending at sort of a cliff-hangar, and through it all Hei might just be all alone without any friends. It kinda saddens me really. They need a second season to this show! I mean, it got the best anime of the year award for 2007 for Pete's Sake! That's gotta be somewhat of a reason to renew it for a new season right? They can't leave me hanging like this! It's almost as bad as when I finished Full Metal Alchemist the movie and they left it all up in the air like that. It just isn't cool! The only justice to that is the sequel of Full Metal Alchemist that's going in production so they've redeemed themselves on that front, but that does nothing for Darker than Black! I started and finished this anime in 3 days and I adore it, so why does it have to end like this?! BTW, sorry for my mindless blabbering, but could you answer my earlier questions? I would sincerely appreciate it.

WHAT HAPPENED WITH YIN!!!!anyone there whos going to die pls ask God to change the ending or make another season

Yin didn't die. She sill watches over Hei. But i think the anime didn't end properly with Hei. I must see more of Hei!

First off regarding Yin: I do not believe she died or changed her state of being in anyway. Reasons
for this are:
1. She was alive, in her body, with Hei right before Hei went to destroy the generator. There was
nothing to insinuate her death.
2. It was commented that Yin was changing or evolving somewhere. When she pulled Hei out of
his dream world her probe changed into a hand. She then appeared as normal when he was back.
3. A full body probe looking like Yin appeared under the bridge in the same area that Hei was at.
Also, she had made her choice to stay with Hei at the end of Ep 14.

With these things in mind, my conclusion is thus: Yin is alive, she is with Hei, and she is more
capable/ more advanced than before.

Concerning the Syndicate: The Police Woman, Kirihara, mentioned that the Syndicate had no
more traces. My conclusion is that it went underground or disolved internally.

Concerning sequels: I feel there could easily be one, but I feel that the most important things were cleared up. The ending was what it was. Heck, Kirihara was even able to "confirm" that Hei was Li.
How it was done was good enough for me in that matter.
