I've had two instances
one: my dad bought an imported version of Marvel Vs. Street Fighter for our Sega Saturn back in the day
and two: I bought Shounen Jump Ultimate Stars for my DS
in both instances, we we're lost

Definitely. It's a sad thing when your language literacy is only limited to chinese and english.... And your chinese reading skills aren't that spectacular either. Worse still, when you have trouble with hanyupingying. And that only applies to the chinese games I have tried playing.
As for the Japanese games... I don't even bother much about them unless there's a fan translation out XD
