People: here in the states boybands are long gone.
if taeyang improves his english a lot he definitely can pull of debuting in the states maybe.
utada hikaru tried debuting here didnt really work
dont know whats up with se7en

I doubt it... I think the only way for a foreigner to be successful in the US is to beat the prejudice with real talent...
boybands, by nature, aren't talents that will wow people with their talent, but only their beat (which are not generally composed by them) and their looks.
And honestly, do we really want the boybands to represent the music industry of Asia? There are better choices...

I also vote Wang Leehom At least if he earns his money, he'll spend it on something good. And plus, he got real talent.
All the money of boybands probably goes to their company...

its talent at first. then it becomes sex appeal

True. The U.S. got over boybands a long time ago, they'll be considered artist wannabes if they debut here.
DBSK, Big Bang,...basically all the popular boybands in Asia.

I say there are so many talented artists in Asia, but because of the language barrier, and how racist people are here...they'll always be looked down on. That's why hardly no one dares to break into the U.S. music industry...which is the best in the world right? Japan comes in second, and yet Utada Hikaru can't make it big.

You have to be extremely fluent in english and have LOADS of talent to be sucessful here.

I'm not bias because I'm a Epik High Fan but their not really a boyband and lyrics OMG rocks my sock and mind. Plus their english is already the best. I know they have to work really really hard because their not a black hip hop artist and their going to be big discrimination.

1. Ayumi Hamasaki. She aleady has a following worldwide. :D
2. Epik High. Their music is reallyreally good.
3. Utada Hikaru. She can sing.
4. Ito Yuna. She has a really nice voice and have you heard her collabration with Celine Dion?! (Awesome-ness!)
5. DBSK/Tohoshinki. They have talent, and they are very good-looking. (major understatement)

I think Big Bang's great. But their music doesn't really set them apart. Same for Lee Hyori too -- if you didn't know, you'd think of the Pussycat Dolls did a solo in Korean. O:

Ayumi Hamasaki reminds me of a mix of Kelly Clarkson (when she first started out after winning) and Britney Spears.

HAHA. I don't really think Boy Bands are dead in the U.S. I just think many singers just want to debut alone. Hmmm... Boy bands... The Jonas Brothers? Lol. Is that just called a rock band not a boy band? I think it's a boy band cause... well... They're all boys. So I don't think Boy bands are dead. I just think everyone just doesn't care, but if Big Bang steps into the picture I'm pretty sure Boy bands will come back to life cause they're so awesome!

I think a lot of Koreans should debut cause for some reason... They're really good at speaking English! Wonder Girls Big bang etc.
