People: here in the states boybands are long gone.
if taeyang improves his english a lot he definitely can pull of debuting in the states maybe.
utada hikaru tried debuting here didnt really work
dont know whats up with se7en

I doubt it... I think the only way for a foreigner to be successful in the US is to beat the prejudice with real talent...
boybands, by nature, aren't talents that will wow people with their talent, but only their beat (which are not generally composed by them) and their looks.
And honestly, do we really want the boybands to represent the music industry of Asia? There are better choices...

I honestly don't think any of the boybands should debut in America, unless it's just a small performance. I can't bear to see my Dong Bang boys getting bashed numerously. It's really the language barrier and their looks and concept that separates them from America and Asia.

BoA debuted last year 2007 at Hollywood bowl and had a performance with Britney Spears.

Utada Hikaru already debuted in the U.S. I believe~I even think she started in the U.S. releasing an album in 98' but moved to Japan after a while. She does have a great voice, nee~

Se7en also debuted on MTV, I think maybe last year sometime, it was awesome. He too has a really beautiful voice.

But in terms of who should debut, I think Crystal Kay~I think its marketable and eveything.

most definitely Epik High..I think it'd be amazing if they broke through here because they'd totally break the stereo type that African Americans dominate the hip hop industry...not to say that's a bad thing at all, I'm just just saying it'd be neat to see them break through =)

i would say Tae Yang!
not just that im a big fan of him
he is a r&bish singer and thats was the us is into, well wat im in too xD
plus he is very talented, and his english is good but just need to improve a little bit.
it would be wonderful to have tae yang in the states, soo i can see him on tv :D
but i think tae yang would be great.

and if big bang debuts in us i think they could last, but like the american boy bands they always break up after a while.
but big bang will always stick together!

AMEN SISTER.
I'd support them 110% if they did :DDD
Then I wouldn't have to be so sad when I end up watching their concerts/shows on Youtube.
I'D WATCH THEM LIVEEE!

XD Yup, I wish too.....
I would like to see big bang w/ my bare eyes instead of through computer screen.
Especially GD and Top... <33 my love ^^
Well, but they'll promote their album 'with U' in japan soon.
Which mean their next destination will be US
Juz like Se7en (start to debut in US)

O.k ppl the Se7en thing isn't gunna happen because no American label wants him. It's sad but true the guy has crap loads of talent but i don't think the American labels get him. Crystal Kay should definitely come to the states and possibly do a duet with Amerie since theyre both korean and black not to mention shes obviously fluent in English and could do some fair competition against the R&B front runners like Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Keyshia Cole, etc. Plus she has already worked with American producers like Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis who made Janet Jackson who she is today. Some else who I think would do extremely well in America is Teriyaki Boyz. Since they have already worked with the top American rappers and producers they should have no problem making an impact. But for now we just have to wait and see what Rain does.

United States needs to really get over the prejudice... mostly, people in the U.S. think that Asians are just a bunch of nerds and shinese resteraunts... people here don't understand that there is more than music with really inappropriate music... it's not even about the voice...

i agree with you for big bang and wonder girls. tell me is like a worldwide phenomenon now!!
but also Epik High, because their english ROX and i think americans would respect them.
and as much as i love super junior, i don't really think they'd make it big in america, people would just think they're cheesy.
and big bang is a UNIQUE boy band, you don't see many boy bands that can rap. america's more about hip hop.
just my opinion...

Hmm... Lee Hom, Utada Hikaru and M Lee Min Woo.
M was supposed to debut in US with his 3rd album, but nobody knows why in the end it was called off...
