As much as we want boybands to debut here, that phase is long gone and most americans wouldn't really like them back. So DBSK, Big Bang, NewS, etc are unlikely choices, considering their english is also not that great. A lot of people have a thing against FOBS and songs they wouldn't be able to understand. A few english words thrown in their songs really wouldn't make it any better. Reggae had it's breakthrough, but nowadays, it has long lost it's touch. Most realistic choices for me are Epik High, considering tablo's english is FANTASTIC, and Crystal Kay, whose half african-american I believe. Her english is also very nice.

Taeyang and Se7en might be able to breakthrough the US market, but only because I think their dancing is really good and their music reminds me of American singers. If they can perfect their english or atleast make it fluent, then I believe they have a possible chance. Se7en's english is also improving a lot, but sucks his label doesn't do a lot of promo.

boybands (big bang and epik high may be an exception) will fail in america
however i reckon j-rock bands should have a go in the US industry

I definitely want Arashi and DBSK to at least have some concerts or something in America...I mean they need more fans in the USA...Im really tired of like most of the American girls going frickin crazy over like stupid zac efron or the jonas brothers... YUCK

I agree with azu. I hate Zac Efron and the Jonas Brothers. But the thing is...the era of the boy bands is over, unless it's rock and they have a lucky hit, then they're not going to do too well in America. I LOVE DBSK, ARASHI, AND SHINEE to pieces. I don't know if anyone had said this earlier, but out of all the people that HAVEN'T been born in America, I have to say Epik High and BoA. Yes, you know why for Epik High, but for BoA? People here in America have heard BoA before when she hadn't debuted. Remember when she collaborated with Westlife? Flying Without Wings. She was good there. So people here have a slight idea of her and what to expect.

WANG LEE HOM, PEOPLE. WANG LEE HOM. MADE IN AMERICA. =D SO GOOD IN SINGING. =D
'Nuff said.

Koda Kumi will make it .. i'm not saying this because i'm a fan but she sang with Fergie so that might've made her a little more popular here ..

and she already has the image ..

however i do not think DBSK will make it .. not if they keep that happy "let's hug each other" stuff
