A video of someone walking through everyone favorite village. Seems like the anime copied the town exactly. You will see all the favorite places like Rika's House, The School, The Shrine, And even the path everyone walked to school every day. I love this!

Yeah, I saw it too. When I first saw it, it was freaky how much the anime version resembled it exactly. After watching most of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai, I'm not that freaked out of going there anymore. Actually, I want to check it out.. if I ever do go to Japan.

Just saw it recently. At first, it kind of suprised me that Hinamizawa was based on a real village in Japan and how they were ridiculously similar. At the same time, I thought it was crazy awesome. If I ever do go to Japan, I'd be happy if I had a chance to see that village. Loved the song that went with it too. Now it's part of my favorites.

Wow! That's just so weird...but really so cool too! I wonder if they know about Higurashi looking like them? Oh, and here's another link to another video on Youtube that helps show the similarities between Shirakawago and the Higurashi anime:

lol that would be interesting... I reckon cosplaying at night would be most interesting... ROFL
And make sure you bring Rena's meat-cleaver/thing and Rika's instestine-grabbing thing.

I'd love to go to that village if I go to Japan~ ^_^

i wonder if the swamp, junkyard, the train in the junkyard is there.and is the underground chamber there also(that will be creepy), and is the room with oyashiro sama statue n dissecting tools there?? i want to visit there sometimes, in a white wagon

I just found my favorite spot in Japan.....where I can relax, talk walks, go sightseeing, and do it all over again but in a dimension where I could do it in a different order....HAHA
