it depends on them. many people are against gays and lesbians so its understandable for them to hide and deny that they are.

depends if they wanna be open about it or deny it and be in the closet. but to be to doesnt matter cos if your good at what you do then thats fine. but then again yeah people freak out with what they dont understand.

yes, because it will promote acceptance of homosexuality...

no, because it'll ruin their career.

do you think they will do that if they know it would be the end of their career, that's why the term "closet queen" was made.

Unless if they can't take it anymore! lolz!

If they are ready to accept themselves and their sexuality, then it is their decision if they want to come out of the closet or not. Although I know it's hard, I personally think I would disclose my true sexuality.
And it is awfully sad that people are forced to hide themselves because they are afraid of what society or family would think of them...

Depends on everything.

The person's types of fans and well... their performance in their chosen areas and how they feel...

It would be best if the people establish a reputation before so... Like some damn good actor is gay, most wouldn't care cos hiis acting is really good.

People take too many things in account. Those of least importance is also calculated, so it's hard to have a living if you went straight out and told the media you're gay or les if you're a celebrity.

i think its okay since most people nowadays are open towards homosexuality issues..(:

I don't know if people accept gay/lesbians in Japan or Korea (I think its accepted in Philippines) as much as they accept gays and lesbians in lets say San Francisco.

Admitting if your gay or a lesbian has its positives and negatives
positives-your telling people that its okay to be gay
-you wont have to hide it anymore
negatives
you lose fans
you lose some respect of some people

We only live once, why should they have hide themselves just because other people are ignorant and stupid. Not only would they be saying that gay people exist, but they could be role models to millions of LGBT youth everywhere As for losing respect and fans, they may lose lots but they gain so much more

Why hide it? It is absolute okay. And people, who have a problem with it, don't have the right to call themselves "fans"
