I didnt see the ep but i did read a summary, the asgard killed themselves!!!! I dont care if the series is practically ending!! Thats just wrong!!!For those of u who have no idea wat this is about, the asgard (one of the best races in SG-1) had a problem with genetics, in the way that theres has deteriorated from making clones too many times. This would mean they could no longer make clones as the dna is too impure. Their last endevour to fix it caused them to develop a fast paced terminal disease. The asgard called earth said they had a surprise so they went. When they got there thor told them and said they will give earth their knowledge, echnology, and history. Then as they were under attack from ori they blew theere whole planet up. They did not want there technology to wind up in the wrong hands. And as a side note the weapons they installed on the ship let them kik the ori`s ass

Actually, there's one more. The series is supposed to come to a close with a movie. However, I've not read up on it in a few weeks so I'm unsure of how it's going to be presented. Straight to DVD, televised, in theaters, etc.

I did think it was a bit unfortunate that Oneill (Richard Anderson) wasn't there. You'd figure that the largest influence on the Azgard side was Oneill. Figure that he would be there in not only the final episode, but the episode where the Azgard give all their technology (the primary mandate of the Stagate program - hence why Gen. Landry was there) and the fact that the Azgard died in general.

That, and seeing as how Daniel and Vala got together.... figure we could of seen a bit Carter - Oneill action going on too. But purhaps that's reserved for the movie.

If all else fails, at least Atlantis is carrying on strong. And they already said there will be a 3rd series (not season, series) that should start sometime in 2008. Technically the 4th if you count Stargate Infinity. Which, nobody does.

I think we may see Daniel and Vala get back together in the movie. Granted, their coupling was under extreme circumstances. Unfortunate that they didn't have kids in the episode but if I was in Daniel and Vala's shoes, I wouldn't let it happen given the circumstances. Regardless, it showed that the potential was there for it to happen. Even if it was a one in a million event.

From what I've heard though (and it's ONLY a rumor) many stars from SG-1 will make cameo appearances on Atlantis. Especially when people have to gate in from Atlantis to the SGC.
