For me, the only reason i started to watch Higurashi was because of Satsuki Yukino (Mion and Shion). She was one of my favorite seiyuu's so i was looking to see what other shows she was in. Then i came across Higurashi, thinkin it was gonna be a nice cutesy anime, only to be scared straight and hooked straight to my chair for the next couple days there after and now once a week.
Darn you higurashi! Darn you!!!

I found it while searching for a Dokuro-chan amv on Veoh. I found one that had very violent and cute clips mixed in from another show. After a buttload of questioning and searching I found out it was Higurashi. Instantly Hooked.

I was watching an episode of Elfen Lied (also a great bloody anime) on you tube and saw a link to Higurashi's first ep after the movie finished playing. i clicked on it out of curiosity and was taken in by the OP

Me??? I was searching for some GSD episodes in YouTube when I saw this vid with a really cute pic of girl (I think it was Rena or Mion)... I clicked it, waited a couple of seconds, then saw this shadow beating something with blood spilling everywhere... I got curious and continued watching... After episode 1, I got really curious about the anime that I continued watching till I eventually got hooked 2 episodes after...

was lookin up pics of school days and found a pic of psycho girls of anime which had like sekai and katsura from school days and kaede from shuffle! and thats when i saw rena with her machette and i was like i gotta check tat out. lol |

Actually, my bf introduced me to it when i came into his room & all i saw was a guy beating the crap out of two chicks with a bat! I had a O_O look on my face & he told me the name of the anime, & what it was about. I was reluctant to watch it at first, but it eventually grew on me! ^_^

My friend told me about it when he was showing me a short anime video on youtube that had to do with random qsychopatic girls screaming maniacly with evil looks on there faces. After watching that disturbing video he got me to watch the first 3 episodes, I never stopped watching it ever since O_O

Ohhh,lots of things,first of all,the episode where they take out shions nails made me hooks(my friend sent me a link for just that one part xD)
and i was watching the intro to the first season and i loved the song and rena looked awsomly freaky there xD,and knowing me,i LOVE horror and scary animes(and gore,but theres not THAT much here)xD....and then just watching it(and looking at my confused face for lots of the episodes)made me hooked xD
