I read the comic and then saw the movie.

I like the comic The movie was a bit too long and they made the silk spectre 2 look like a sex symbol; like her role wasn't worth much.

Maybe it was because I didn't read the comic but this was the first movie that made me want to walk out half way through it. And what was up with Dr. Manhattan? Who walks around having an erection?

I thought it was a really good movie. It took the whole idea of superheroes from a direction not often explored.

When you're both omnipotent and omniscient, you'll probably won't have a need for most things, clothes included. (Plus, why would you keep looking at it?)

Well, it's kind of hard not to look at it. It's just there. I didn't read the comic anyways so shows what I know.

People who said it sucked probably:
1. Never read the novel
2. Have the attention span of a goldfish
3. Too dense to understand literature

But my dear! She wasn't worth all that much even in the comic book. It was almost like she existed to shag then bitch about Jon, and seduce then abuse Daniel! I'm not happy about this at all, of course; don't get me wrong. But I just think that it was a pretty fair movie interpretation of Laurie is all.

Absolutely. Which is precisely the point of that famous saying Who watches the Watchmen? (Someday, I'm going to have a shirt that says that <3) Have you read the comic book, then? It's got even more of the dark, contorversial stuff these superheroes drown in. I think the point we're both trying to make (together with the Movie and original novel, of course) is that the superheroes were human, like it or not.

'cept maybe Jon.

I love you to insanity. This is so true, I think I've said it to myself and the people around me twice. The movie did an amazing job; and mind you, the Comic Book was a big thing to live up to and remake. I especially love their casting, opening credits, and the changes they did make. (Necessary ones for a film-adaptation.)

And Jon! My god, the movie made me love him!! They even had the wisdom and patience to include his monologue! (I had a lovely time just listening to that voice of his; it's awesome.)

Of course, Veidt, Rorschach, The Comedian and the rest were ace; very spot-on. It was just that I wan't much of a DocManhattan fan in the comic, but the movie turned me around completely.

So psyched for the DVD!! ><

I read it a long time ago though I was more into Spiderman back then. It was good but the art style was more dark than I was used to.
