Well, there are anime that specifically target adult viewers. If adults are so busy, why are those anime series made? I think it's all about balance. If you can balance your time, work, and hobbies properly, you can definitely find time for yourself. It can be hard, though. Like, I'm in high school and I constantly have to manage time for studying and extracurricular activities, but I always try to balance it out so that I can have time for other stuff, like anime and video games and hanging out with friends after school. And my grades aren't even that bad, I've never been off the Honor Roll! (Not that I'm trying to show off or anything...just saying. ) Anyways, I hope I made my point somewhat clear...BALANCE!!!!

i don't watch that often. more of reading manga. don't like hentai. people who like dramas is how i like anime. wakateru? although the difference is real life and non-real life. because sometimes real-life is just too boring. its the same old thing whereever you go. whereas animes have shows like pirates adventure or series or shinigamis..unlike real-life..... so yea! that's my genre! i like yaoi too. dramas seldom have yaoi. TT.TT or maybe i can't find it. or..my age?...e..hi-mi-tsu! younger than 20 older than 16 *peace sign*

16 here.
Well, I've got nothing much better to do then sit on my skinny-ass and daydream about my perfect man.
Anime is... well, it's normal. And ridiculously easy to pass time to.
Barely 14?
Some of the Anime even made shouldn't be viewed for people over the age of 17.
Your age isn't really what the creators are trying to attract, you know?
Usually it's for adults, made from adults.

All the good shit is rated mature or 15 and up.

You're probably thinking about anime in the same sense as you would think about western cartoons (correct me if I'm wrong). Anime is one of the most original art forms out there, in my opinion. It's also deep within Japanese culture, and they see anime as they would see a real life tv show, but the possibilities with drawing go way beyond that of a live action tv show with a "small" budget.

Above all it's really entertaining, and I only started watching 3 years ago, which now I'm 23. As you get older or in my case more familiar with anime, you're taste also evolve, and in anime there's always something out there that will meet you're new found likes.

P.S - Before anyone calls me out, this post was in response to the original poster

Im 19 and I watch anime because I like it..
Age doesn't really matter.. it all depends on you if you really like to watch or not...
and also not all anime's are made for kids
some anime's are for 17+

well i have seen anime since iwas 3 years old and until i became like 13 i never knew that anime and cartoons were different, but i liked anime and didnt like cartoons even thought i didnt difference them like they are very different i liked almost all anime exept giant robots and drama shits im 16 now and if i watch sumthing like dexters lab or that stuff i get bored if i watch anime i dont actually i see dragon ball the first and i still like it so I think once u like anime you can't leave it. As final note, I started drawing anime at age 14 and in two years i have been able to draw characters almost perfectly like naruto characters bleach etc. I have many videos in youtube and im 16 so like imagine if i watch that till im 50! Actually im making a manga but thats another shit

((That's like asking why adults still play video games. There's plenty of genres of anime that appeal to all ages and all types; it's not all Bleach, Naruto, Death Note, D. Gray Man, and whatever else it is you kids are into these days (I say this, and I'm only 17...). Some of the good ones intended for more mature audiences are Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, Monster, Berserk, maybe even Mushishi. And just because they're mature doesn't necessarily mean they're violent or sexual... it just usually does.

Besides, I seem to find anime more interesting because most of the Western shows I've seen don't seem to follow a plotline. They usually have a plot that spans one or two episodes, rarely ever a full season like in anime. ) )

hey what wrong with watching naruto , d.gray man ,bleach ect ect
i am almost 19 now and i am watching them and i dont think that is childish
if you think there better anime then dont say any bad word about the other one !!
