I noticed that theres always fight scenes in most high school dramas which generally end in the protagonist getting their butts kicked.

I notice that when a character always goes to the park, they go the the swing section and the swings are like 6 inches high. I also notice that most of the cell phones in Japan are flat.

In Jdrama, most of it always ends with lots of talking about lessons learn by the main characters, or people "shouting" how they were positively influenced by the lead actor/actress when he/she is leaving. Dramatically, each will take turn to say how their lives are being changed by him/her. Sometimes, the section for the positive words is rather long and draggy, but sometimes it can be funny

watermelon

you beat me to it!
i was gonna say the same.

but when you think about it. i guess b/c japan has a lot of people who actually
walk, ride bike, bus, take train to where ever....
they can't just jump in a car and take off. instead they RUN!
plus it's good exercise! that's why they're all so slim

when i open this topic i was about to say the same thing
i always notice it,they always run as if there's no taxi in japan.
like in gokusen, yankumi used to run everytime she'll rescue her students,
she runs, and runs, and runs so far...
not just in gokusen, but in almost jdramas/movies.i saw a lot.

The lurve to run! You guys are right.

Theres always a grandparent or an aunt or an older person who encourages the lead.

Theres always a lurve triangle.

Theres always drinking of beer or sake and people getting drunk.

The lead star always runs away to the beach or the forest.

Haha I agree on the run thing. It's so obvious ne, especially if you watch Maou. Toma is like running everywhere!
And yeah, like somebody mentioned earlier, the one with the longest hair is usually the main lead.

Motivational speeches are always neccesary for a J-drama, they are incomplete without them.

You got that right there. Every single drama I've seen people running!
But I find it funny. Its like the drama wouldn't be complete without atleast
one running seen!

THe main character has to be determined. There's never a lazy main character...which I guess makes sense, but it may be funny.

Or how there is always a HOSPITAL scene. or if they get a bit of rain on them, the next day they are sick. LOL but yeah the running is the most prominent thing that comes to mind. Especially when the main girls run in those heels >.< I'd hate to be those feet :phew:

someone is called a "baka" lol

it's like one minute they're in school/work
and the next minute they're out already.
it's like no lesson taught or no work
getting done. lol.

someone takes off running from school
or work as if it won't effect them the next
day. lol. i think if i would have done that
i would be fired from work or got into deep
trouble at school. lol.

i think that every japanese drama has its own story line, which makes every one unique,of course, romantic comedy rules!!!(like in kdramas),but somehow, they manage to give every one its unique thumb!!
