They hardly ever show affection. Parents to childeren, lover to lover, husband to wife, friends, nothing...

I love you baby. That's the major reason why I run away from Jdrama. They are wayy too stiff, they don't show enough love, no skinship whatsoever. Really, how can you want viewers to melt for your characters when they just stand like rock?

It recalls me of a jdrama I saw where the main guy proposed to his girlfiend, the thing is during their short period of dating(about 2 months I think) they didn't act like a couple. They were so shy near each other I wanted to scream,no in fact they didn't know what to do. Nothing happened during those 2 months, nothing DAMNIT. And then one day he proposes to her, she answers yes and they kiss for the 1rst time. I laughed and then, closed the window.

ooh i totally agree with this too!!

or even worse when after the entire drama they finally show emotion, the following completely ruins it! Like in kimi wa petto (theyre not together in the end, despite the kiss) and hotaru no hikari! korean dramas do the affection best, and quite a few taiwanese!

most of the times the main character thinks he/she is all strong but later finds out that he/she is actually weak and the gets obsessed in trying to be the best

they also like to run just like everybody said

there is also at least a part during the drama where the main character is really weak and is almost crying all the time thinking he/she is hopeless

And in some Romance dramas most of the time the main character falls in love but then that person doesn't love him/her and in the end the person they start dating is their almost best friend (I think its jdramas not sure though ,but it does happen alot )
