So when I watch dramas at least I get interested in the asian culture, people and language! Like many others out there I would love to learn a little bit more of the asian languages, japanese and mandarin in my case I know it´s hard to learn and at most i might learn a few phrases...

So to the point! Do u know any websites where I can learn a little bit more japanese and mandarin?? And if you like you can post some words and phrases you know But try to spell it right so that i don´t learn it wrong from the beginning!!

Hope you can help and thanx if you do

Sometimes it is better to get a simple how to learn in ______ (Insert language) book. I myself taught myself the Japanese Alphabet both Hiragana and Katakana by reading simple books. I then learned the days of the week and months the same way. I tried online websites, but they did not help me that much. Another thing I tried was a One-on-One with a friend who was Japanese.

My first phrase that I learned on my own was... Watashi no name wa angee desu.

i watch kdrama not just because they'r fun to watch, but i wud like to learn a few korean phrases too!! i've found a few really gd self tutoring korean videos on youtube but unfortunatly i can only find the first 7 episodes for it It's called:let's learn korean, it does lots of repeats and eventually it just get drilled into my head,,, XD
i think the easiest and safest way to learn a new language is where u actually hav native speaker to help out, to correct pronounciations etc.
Good luck!

p.s. wo ai ni, 我爱你 = i love u (in manderin)

i'd just like to warn anybody who is learning languages mainly from dramas.

languages usually have certain rules . like in japanese you put desu at the end, or a verb like shimasu.
or marking how many like in chinese. san GE hua (three flowers). and many types of honors in both languages. so be careful of what you are learning. chinese and japanese are strict on honoring your elders, and dramas are usually within friends, so they are more relaxed with eachother.
