So true!!! I've watched a few interviews on Youtube with the girls from the Chinese women's gymnastic team and some of them trained as far to when they 3-4 years old. I believe the team's leader Cheng Fei and another teammate wanted to quit at a point but their parents assured them to stay strong and they did just that...and won a few medals along the way and of course, the gold medal from the Olympics this year! Quite an accomplisment at such a young age!!!

At that age, I was happy to Ace a test or an exam! hahah

They train hard and nation should not blame on ages, if they win gold medal they deserved it. We got some under aged in the US team too. Usually ages doesn't matter what matter is their talent.

Most of you are missing the point. China is breaking the rule.

Age does not matter-BUT what about other underaged atlethes who couldn't compete since they were too young?

The author definitely jealous as you can tell by the taunts and quotes of the "baby" atlethes.

But I have no doubt on my mind that China faked their passports. It's easy to do without the government help as well.

I'm unsure if you know this but there have been other incidents in the Olympics gymnastics when underaged gymnasts have partcipated so this, that is if there is truth to these year's allegations, wouldn't be the first time. To only assume that the allegations towards the Chinese women's gymnastic team this Olympics are actually underaged, the fact is that despite their age, they still deserved the gold medal and the recognition because they are a great team.

And is it easy to fake a passport without government's help? Anyway, I think the Olympics should be more careful and aware of situations like it to ever happen in the future!

who cares. those gymnasts in China train since they're 3 years old to participate in the Olympics. They know they have a better chance when they're 15 than wait 4 years till they're 19.

How about you prove that they are geniunely underaged first, then declare that China is breaking a rule?

How about you be realistic first?

You can't prove anything just by looking for documents, there would have to be tests made whether it be ones to examine the development of their eyes, teeth or their facial structure. These are to be administered by scientists and specialists in these areas.

I guess the China's woman gymnastic team is going to line up for me to investigate on them?

I'm aware of it.

And it is. My birthday makes me atleast two years older than I am. Even my nationality is wrong. X5 for each of my family.

Realistic? I am in fucking China right now. I see many 15 and 16 year old girls being at the height around 4-foot 5/6. To experience it with my own eyes is being realistic, right?

No proof = Speculation = China is not breaking a rule.

Edit: Btw, this thread is pretty stupid, since they've already won a gold metal -_-. I think people are just being sore losers.

Realistically speaking, the Chinese women's gymnastics team won the gold medal. There is no changing that no matter what allegations come up and they won it despite their age. Simple as that!

And are you implying that you and your family have a fake passport? You should report it asap unless you're also implying that you have a fake passport for personal reason and without government's acknowledgement. I don't quite understand your reason...

And I may add...

It's not fair if you judge someone's age based on their height or facial features. That absolutely does not prove anything and in fact contradicts so many other things that you'd have to consider such as dna. Let's not get into that!

For example, the average for my nationality's height is rather shorter than some unless they are mixes. I'm full Asian (little bit European mix but do they even count?) and I'm 5'6, yet, people believe I'm half something else.

I was commenting on how your request of me to "How about you prove that they are geniunely underaged first, then declare that China is breaking a rule?". That is unrealistic.

I did not mention height because its obivous some Asian are normally in the 4-5 even well into their 20's when they aren't going grow anymore. I think is can be thrown out.

It is also a reality that documents can be faked.

If China won this fair and square than there wouldn't be any doubts.
