Huh.
But Haine wasn't a baby. -.- they were doing a play on Cinderella, and she called them "onee-tama" and "okaa-tama".
But I guess Fruits Basket is a good counter example. x.x

Sometimes older characters use babytalk when they want to sound cute, like Yaya always calling Amu 'Amu-chi' and such. 'shrugs' I've studied up a lot on Japanese honorifics because they play such an important part of portraying relationships between people in Japan and I believe that it's only right to learn how to use them correctly. wikipedia actually says on it's japanese honorifics page that 'tama' is a childish way of saying 'sama,' but I'm not sure how reliable that site is... here's a good site to look at for info on honorifics, though; http://virtualmekton.tripod.com/ate-iii-iv.html

i think you're right about the baby talk thing. tadase was young which is why he called ikuto onii-tan not onii-san. but he only called him that because his family was close to the tsukiyomi's. so there's no blood connection between utau and tadase.

Well they're not. Tadase are NOT blood related to Ikuto or Utau.
Their families were really close before, but NOT RELATED.
