Depends.

Some anime chicks can pull off short hair really well ^^ like Sanya V. Litvyak from Strike Witches and Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari (When she gets short hair in Nisemonogatari) :D

And some anime chicks can pull off long hair like Lacus from Gundam Seed and Shana from Shakugan~

To me, hair length doesn't matter xD some are cute with short hair and some are cute with long~ it all depends really :3
