Actually none of the above.

What they should do is give an alternative.
Funimation hasn't Licensed it yet, but they might soon.

The Big Problem is D-rights and Funimation act like the whole world is jsut made up of Japan and the USA.
If you live elsewhere your screwed, because none of them care if their "official" DVD will reach your country.

Let me quote myself...

Gonzo is one of the few anime studios to realize that the World is bigger than just Japan and the USA. Their free streaming (for a limited period) gives us the same experience as those watching the shows on Japanese TV

...and what Gonzo is doing actually makes sense. If the Japanese can watch it free on TV, might as well share the experience with viewers around the world right?
Not everyone has access to the official DVDs (depends where you live) and not everyone is a collector willing to spend $$$ for their expensive DVDs.

I really believe that Gonzo's free streaming is a good alternative, D-rights and Funimation should follow what Gonzo is doing.

Thank you so much for sticking up for us... i live in England so its hard to get anime stuff.... before i even started to get the DVDs all i did was watch a few dub anime and it was very rare to see unedited stuff... (like about.... two..... and even then they was on at 4 o clock in the morning....)

Even though I am upset, I honestly saw this coming. Just have to look for other sources to be able to watch it. No use getting upset and getting your panties in a bunch. This stuff should be expected since it happens quite frequently. Oh well.

Come on, don't agree with this stupid idea. Nabari no Ou isn't even licensed in USA. If uploading Nabari no Ou with sub is ILEGAL, then all this site is ILEGAL too and ALL THE JAPANESE ANIMES should SHUT DOWN.

Anyone who is a fan of Nabari no Ou should obviously feel the same way; upset, angry, sad, etc.
And as people have already mentioned, it sucks that we have to pay to see this when Japanese people see it for free.

it just shows what good taste i have in anime....sigh.....keeps happening....wonder whats next..on second thought i better not ponder that. Just one time i'd like to see one thru before it gets licenced here....seems like they keep noticing the newer ones...but dont pay attention to the older goodies...which is fine by me...gives me something to look at.

Welll. I'm sad. I mean. If funim didn't really license it yet, than why send the C&D?

I'm really sad since.. idk. D8> Nabari is like.. the only anime I got into in years.

er.

IDK.

I'll still have the manga. wootoot. Same thing pretty much. just no voices and colour.

/supersigh.

Well, any anime can stop being subbed if the anime companies who own the anime want to. Fan subbing is a violation of copyright (I learned that today lol) and they're being nice enough to let people sub until they license it (I learned that today too =P). I guess that this time they just felt like stopping it early? I dunno, but I appreciate that you didn't go all "OMGSH THEY LICENSED IT IM GONNA KILL THOSE LICENSERS" =) Makes me sigh in relief when I read comments without the spasms.

...CURSE THIS CR!!!

Don't blame Crunchyroll, blame D-Rights.

CR did nothing wrong. They're following the rules so that this site doesn't get sued or anything.

As I've seen many arguments like this "the Japanese gets to watch it for free...why can't we?" and other stuff, please bear it in mind that the Japanese does pay taxes and other stuff to their government. Just like where I stay, we've to pay tax, tv license fee and others. The Japanese who lives in Japan are consumers of their products and them doing it keep the economy alive. So, in a sense, they aren't entirely getting it for free. Whereas, on the internet, people really do get it for free and its not benefitting the Japan economy.

I'm not trying to argue something here, just pointing out a fact...

and it really does suck that we've gotten C&D, our staff were enjoying this series a lot and it's near completion too...sigh...

TV is 'free' because you pay for cable/satellite/digital and commercials are shown on the stations you watch. Sponsors (who advertise with the commercials) give money to the stations in order to show television shows.

On another note, aparently Yuurisan-subs got a C&D themselves u_u

Dear Staff,

This is Lance Heiskell at FUNimation Entertainent. We can confirm that FUNimation Entertainment has obtained has obtained an agreement authorizing FUNimation to act on behalf of d-rights to prevent infringement on specific titles.

The authorization agreement for d-rights is for 5 series in total:
Monochrome Factor
Nabari no Ou
Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn
Bamboo Blade
El Cazador de la Bruja

Though these series have not been licensed to a local distributor in North America, it is important to note that the rights owned by Japanese producers are still applicable, and enforceable, worldwide.

*Cries* T^T I liked Monochrome Factor as well uwaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Honestly, I'd PAY for Nabari no Ou. They should set up their own direct download and streaming site. They could put commercials and ads on it even with accordance to the viewing country...charge $1 to download the episode. It would be fair enough no? I'd pay maybe a buck fifty per ep. That's what I'd do if I had an anime to my name.

I f*cken pissed off! It was getting really good! If you watched episode 19 & 20 (Raw version) you'll see what I mean. Darn it. Hopefully, another fansub group will pick it up...well, let's just pray!
