FriendXfriend of course.. it's basically what everyone's picking!
I watched a papaXson, and I tell ya it WAS awkward.. kinda nice though xD
Um, I really liked Junjou Romantica, Okane ne Ga Nai :D, and shounen-ai Loveless.
I kinda liked Gravitation but I thought it was tacky! Do u guys prefer manga or anime yaoi.. and why?
I certainly love the manga becaus it's more detailed and more deep.. but anime.. MOVES! Haha xD

Hmmm... I've seen a hell of a lot more yaoi than what I've read. My amazon.com wishlist is kinda full of yaoi at the moment though, and watching the home page automatically generate recommendations for me can be hilarious.

I love manga and anime equally - they both have their benefits. I'm more of a shounen-ai fangirl at the moment however and I preferred the Loveless and Gravitation manga to their animes. Gravitation was a little annoying as I actually found myself just skimming over pages, the first time I read it, to 'the good stuff'. Lol, that's something I never usually have to do. But if you like that kind of exaggerated humour then woo! Go you! Go read it!
Junjou Romantica just rocks my world. It is pure awesome. I saw the anime before I read the manga but both are cool in their own ways. Can't wait for season 2!
Sukisho is based on a game I believe? I thought that the series was erm... average. Well, it get's good towards the end when a coherent plot emerges but other than that it's kinda painful. Unless you like exaggerated-exaggerated humour.
There are too many to list, but a yaoi OVA that get's an honorable mention is Kirepapa (I hope that's the one I'm thinking of with the writer father and the son's burly friend ). It would've made a nice 12 episode series.

So, erm, my answer to the actual topic was student x teacher. That's a late high school plus student btw. But any younger person (16 - 24) in a relationship with a guy in his mid to late 30s suits me just fine. Go Miyagi x Shinobu!

Regarding the `manga vs. anime`: yeah you`re right they both have qualities that each other don`t. Manga has more detailed pictures and it get more detailed also on the facts-problems-etc. Drama to make it short.
While anime... moves! xD
As much as I would love to buy dozens of yaoi mangas on Amazon.com, I wouldn`t dare. since you never know what the total price goes up to. Meh! >.<
Junjou Romantica, Kirepapa, Papa to Kiss in the Dark and Okane Ga Nai (OKANE!! ♥) are the best yaoi the majority of the viewers like! No need to ask ourselves why (slutty scenes, humour, dreamy guys, haha xD).
I like the way you think.. I don`t really mind if a 30-something pairs up with a younger person.. in yaoi though ^^;; I dunno why it doesnt bother me in yaoi, but it does in real life, guess because yaoi and shounen-ai are more like a fantasy, created for fan-girls..

(Sorry for the off-topic question -everyone- but I was wondering: how come yuri isnt as popular between guys as yaoi in fan-girls?)

I prefer friendxfirend.
But teacherxstudent is kinda nice to, especially when there isn't a big age gap (with an exception of Junjou Terrorist). Every older person in a Junjou couple has tutored the younger one.
