Ergheiz isn't something I fully associate with Final Fantasy. I consider the VII characters' appearance in that game the same as the Star Wars characters being in Soul Calibur. It's just a gimmick and means nothing.

Dissidia doesn't interest me. It's far too gimmicky and ridiculous for me. It seems all apart of SE's abusing the Final Fantasy series for money. They should invest their time and money into a better writing department and making a truly beautiful Final Fantasy like the ones of yore. VII was good, VIII's story was lovely, and IX was unique.

dammm Cate spoken like a true FF Lover!
Yea i have to agree......-_- ...sux to say...i would rather have another amazing FF then a fighting game any day.........
.................................. BUT!..........since that aint gonna happen anytime soon .....comon! im a guy...and im a very versatile gamer....i consider myself an upfront RPGist but....i love games in general....and the way i see it...though yes sad to admit...a FF fighting game is a mad gimmick......i rather play a FF fighting gimmick of a game....over another capcom 2d fighter anyday....

plus Nomuras RE drawn character designs...looks so beautiful......im freckin drawn to them man...

well..i second you. though. i believe square-enix is trying to get some form of income. probably because of FFXIII delays and financial issues. expectations are high, since some can't wait till its killing them. but i'd rather if they took their time. Metal Gear Solid 4 was a bomb. if SE rushes it and make some XIII a bad game..that is totally gonna ruin their history. the 1st Final Fantasy game that is Final Fantasy I appeared in SNES and it become a huge success. so did Final Fantasy VII the 1st Final Fantasy game in PSX and also Final Fantasy X on the PS2. hope XIII is a bomb too. so i say get incomes (make final fantasy side-games), use incomes to upstage and dethrone Metal Gear Solids GRAPHICS, STORYLINE, VOICE ACTING (for goodness sake i don't want another VAAN) with Final Fantasy XIII

I can understand not wanting another Vaan. I remember I was in my room with my older sister and she looked at my wall scroll of Vaan and Ashe and asked me if he was a girl. She even said Ashe looked less feminine! In my honest opinion XIII doesn't look good. My biggest problem with it is its heroine. Now I am all for a fantastic female lead, which Final Fantasy has needed for a long time now, but Lightning doesn't fit the bill to me. This is because Nomura described her as a "female Cloud". I call that smashing the sun bleached bones of the dead horse called Final Fantasy VII. I wish for a heroine who is strong in her own right and is fully unique from her predecessors. I used to consider Cloud and Squall two rather distinctly different heroes until Cloud warped from the non-challant guy who says stupid things like "let's mosey" into the ball of angst and black leather he is in Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus.

But I digress. I am impressed by it's colorful nature. It quite reminds me of Kingdom Hearts, which I am rather fond of. But the best part of KH 1 (I am excluding KH 2 from this statement) is how amazingly different, beautiful, and charming it was. Disney was such a big part of childhood so it made me kind of happy to be able to enjoy it again in a more mature environment. Plus the story was just plain unique and its main character charming and different! With the added bonus of FF cameos, it was a ball for me. What the problem is with Dissidia is it has nothing new. It's like the Capcom vs Namco of Final Fantasy. (Or perhaps that's Itadaki Street Special... who knows?)
