i think is missing an option "only a part scripted" , because it would be hard to see a show that's not scripted at all. The PD said it's 20% , sometimes i believe it's more, but to be all scripted, that i don believe. So i picked maybe ... it was the closest to what i think ..

I think it's scripted.
The only reason why I say this is because the pool scene with Andy/Solbi was really odd to me.
After the break and Solbi only has to get one ball in... the cue ball AND the ball she hits in mysteriously rearranges itself to be easily hit in. However, the conversation seems to happen smoothly that it was supposedly done in one go.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the show and watch it every week. It has amazing entertainment value and their reactions seem genuine enough. However, I do believe there is some fixing here and there, especially in the early stages.

ie. First three or four episodes are somewhat scripted to make sure the couple acts viewer-worthy.
eg. When HwangBo came on the show, they coincidently ran into Crown J at the outdoor pool? I think to ensure their success for ratings, they grouped them with another couple that has been on the show more to entice viewers.

After that, maybe they let it fly.

I vote partially too. I think they really try hard to get raw footage and then try to "fit" it into the "concept" of the couples. We've seen that with Alex/Sinae couple. They apparently get along really well, but their footage was cut down. And then the participants seem to be asked to fit themselves to that "concept". That's more like a reality show than it is documentary style. Plus with all that extra footage, where does it go? So there has to be writers and footage cuts. Cutting footage to concept is a kind of scripting.

Plus for those who think there is no script, hello... Mission cards is a kind of scripting. So definitely partial scripting.

i think the 20%of scripting goes in the missions and theier locations like where can they go and stuff but not in the way the couples act when theier together i think that thats 100% real
and thats what really matters they just creat a certian mode for them so they can feel it

me too maybe.... they all do their part in acting their roles but even the couples admit that its hard to differentiate their real feelings to fake emotions... I mean, we are talking about emotions here... those must be real hard to act without feeling something. Even actors have to show some realness in their emotions when they act. And the only way to make it look real is to make it real....

I guess that's the scary part of this show...

i used to think that it's really a tiny bit scripted and the rest of it is real. but as the show progresses u realize that some things just have to be scripted. and by watching other shows like 1 night 2 days or park kyung lim's thank you for waking me up, where the viewers are more aware of the camera crew. u start thinking of how they film it that some scenes werent possible in one take cuz the camera man wudve been visble so they prolly retook the same scene, meaning they asked them to re-enact what they just did. i dunno.. hahaha im getting too crazy.. maybe bcoz there wasnt any wgm today.. i need my fix. badly!! *o*

okay.. i think ive really gone bonkers cuz i tried to organize my thoughts on this. ryt, so here's how my wgm deprived brain views this. u have ur basline script which is mainly the "being married part", the missions, and a possible storyline (like where they're gonna go or do during the mission. this cud be scripted by the celebs like crown j with the whole baseball incident or the pd or even a collab.. i dunno) after that u have the editing, like scenes that are reshot which to me also counts as being scripted.. but maybe that's just me (my example wud be the "come on, gemi" part and the surprise "bang " by jungmin for the lil party they held for the jongbo couple.) and also all the stuff they edit out to make couples stay in their "characters" like editing out some sweet alshin moments to make it seem like its a onesided relationship. and lastly u have the celebs real personality just a lil bit tweaked or amplified to make it more interesting to watch. anyhoo.. all this to make this show entertaining for all of us. so, ep 22 come sooner!!! *putting back my straightjacket on and heading back into my cave*

I think its not only 20% is scripted...I think its 50% and the rest is their emotions and reactions...I mean the fighting idea that Sinea and HB thought of was scripted ,the AnBi rings were scripted..they were both seperately told to give each other rings on that day..and so on.I think they tell them in short what they can say or do but they leave it to them to do it their own way.

Actually, it has to be scripted ( just some parts ...they can't cancel their own way of living)!
Would it be so much entertaining if it was just like that without any programmed activities or actions?
I'ts a tv show afterall ...
The producers turned it into a drama-look-alike ... Gosh, they're really good ^^
And that' s why we love it
