hmm i thought a thread for members to share cool tricks to record, mix and sing would be good Perhaps a tutorial for mixing too lol

hmm.... too bad I know NOTHING about recording.. lol. But singing, I do know stuff.
like:
- NEVER drink milk before recording you sing (milk affects your voice box)
- Always stay on key.
-I f a note is too low for you, sing it an octave higher, and vise versa (Note: going an octave higher/lower is different than being on/off key)
- If you're trying to sing for a project, like a group collaboration, record the song a capella and listen to the song with headphones while recording

for mixing, i use audacity.
@ funkycucumber: You can make echo effects on audacity by clicking on Effects and then Echo and setting the delay Time to 1.000 and the decay factor to 0.0100

You can also compress the track to make it sound more electronic. Works well with most pop songs.
