Chronicles of Sakura #0 - The Origin (Rated PG-13)

Here is the first fic of my series which I will post a few chapters each time since it is pretty long. Keep in mind that this is an alternate storyline for what happens after the "Cardcaptor Sakura" anime series ends.

Chronicles of Sakura #0 - The Origin

Prologue

The following is a story of two people from two different worlds who ended up meeting each other by fate:

Jovan, known to most of his friends as "Wildee", is in his thirties and a successful artist. He currently lives with his brother in Florida and is a big animation fan. Even though he is successful when it comes to finances, he isn't as lucky when it comes to love. Unable to find the right girl, he is living a single life and wishes that he could find the girl of his dreams one day. Unknowingly to him, that is all going to change really soon...

Sakura, a teenage girl from the city of Tomoeda, had become the Mistress of the Cards and even managed to convert the Sealed Card into a Sakura Card as well. She also had finally confessed her love to her friend, Shaoran Li, and the two have been going on dates ever since. But one day, Sakura had popped the big question to Shaoran. Shaoran, being unable to respond to her request, tells Sakura that he'd give it more time. Sakura feels upset and tells him that maybe they should be separated for a while until he feels ready to continue their relationship. But little does the young sorceress know, another love will soon enter her life...

Chapter 1

In real world Florida, Wildee is coming up with designs for a new mural which was to be made for a school. However, he was feeling really lonely and having a hard time coming up with something for the mural.

Wildee: "Sigh... It's no use. I just can't come up with something for the mural..."

Wildee's brother had noticed Wildee's frustration and came over to see what was the problem.

Wildee's Brother: "What's wrong, bro?"

Wildee: "I've been making art commissions for so many years and we've had no major financial problems. But, I really wish I could find some female companionship..."

Wildee's Brother: "Yeah. You're lucky though. I've never had a girlfriend at all..."

Wildee: "Most of the girls I've fallen in love ever since my childhood days have been either gold diggers or snobs. If only I could meet the right girl someday..."

Wildee's Brother: "If only I could even meet a girl..."

Wildee decides to stop focusing on the mural and watch an anime DVD with his brother instead.

Wildee: "I feel like watching 'Magic Knight Rayearth'. How about you?"

Wildee's Brother: "Yeah, that's fine with me. I love that series."

Wildee turns on his PS2 and inserts a DVD of "Magic Knight Rayearth". As they were watching the third episode in the disc, Wildee noticed some strange glowing lights coming from the other room and paused the episode.

Wildee: "What the heck is that?"

Wildee's Brother: "No idea..."

Wildee: "You stay here in case it might be a burglar. I'll go take a look."

Wildee bravely goes into the other room to check what was causing the strange light. He notices a white glowing hole in the middle of the room and peers inside to take a look.

Wildee: "How did this happen? Is this a wormhole or something?"

Wildee then sees two strange looking machines coming out of the hole and parking in the room. One of the drivers of the machines was calling out to Wildee.

????: "Hey there. You didn't expect to see me, did ya?"

Wildee (thinking): "That voice sounds familiar. But it couldn't be..."

????: "After many years of work, I have finally crossed the threshold and made it to your world. I've always wanted to meet you in person, my creator!"

Wildee: "It can't be! Are you... One of my cartoon characters?"

The hatches of both machines opened up and Wildee was in complete shock at who were inside them. Who were these mysterious strangers who managed to enter the real world from another dimension and why did one of them refer to him as his "creator"?

Chapter 2

The two mysterious strangers emerged from the machines they were in. One of them looked sort of like a pink donkey and the other was a light-purple lizard. Wildee could not believe his eyes.

Wildee: "No... way... Bro, come over here!!!"

Wildee's Brother: "Huh? What is it?"

Wildee: "Turn off the PS2 for now. Look who's in our house!"

Wildee's brother unpauses the episode, goes back to the DVD's main menu, and turns off the system. Then, he goes inside the room to see what all the commotion was about.

Wildee's Brother: "Whoa... Are those???"

????: "Allow me to introduce myself..."

Wildee: "You don't need to. I know who you two are. I created you back in 1989 when I was starting my drawing hobby."

????: "Okay then. What are our names?"

Wildee: "You're Reyo and your friend over there is Raiys. I never expected you to be real, especially since I never pursued an animation career."

Reyo: "Well... Even though we never became famous in your world doesn't mean we don't exist. Raiys and I have been living in the toon dimension ever since you created us from puppets you used to have as a kid."

Raiys: "Reyo over here, despite his dimwitted ways, managed to create these machines that can let one cross dimensions. He even gave the blueprints to Dr. Thomas Light so he could make a similar machine."

Wildee: "You're pulling my leg... THE Dr. Light who created Mega Man?"

Reyo: "The one and only... This machine not only lets you cross dimensions, but also travel through time."

Wildee's Brother: "Awesome! Your characters are so cool, bro."

Wildee: "Yeah. One question... Where are Le Gator and Viviana?"

Reyo: "Still in the toon dimension. These machines can only fit one person after all..."

Wildee: "Oh... I'd love to meet them."

Raiys: "I don't know if that's a good idea..."

Reyo: "You are such a worry-wart, Raiys. Let our creator have some fun!"

Wildee: "You two have never changed. How do these machines work?"

Reyo: "Well, just go inside and press this button to start it. Then you can set this dial to the dimension you want to appear in and this one to the location."

Wildee steps inside the machine and sits in the seat.

Wildee: "It's a bit cramped in here..."

Wildee tries to get comfortable inside the machine, but accidentally hits a button on the time-travel dial by accident. It was set to the year 2001.

Wildee's Brother: "Can I use a machine too? I've always wanted to see if I can find a girlfriend in another world."

Raiys: "I guess so... But be careful..."

Wildee's Brother: "Okay."

Both Wildee and his brother were now inside the machines and they turn them on.

Reyo: "You guys enjoy your stay in the toon dimension."

Wildee: "Wait... Don't you two ever want to come back?"

Reyo: "We'll be fine. And anyway, I can always create another pair of machines with your world's technology. It's that easy for me..."

Wildee: "That's true. Thank you so much for this, Reyo!"

Reyo: "No problem. It was all for you, my creator!"

Wildee and his brother wave goodbye to Raiys and Reyo and activate the dimension-crossing feature of the machines. In moments, the machines went inside the glowing hole and disappeared.

Raiys: "Well, now what do you want to do?"

Reyo: "How about seeing the sights?"

Raiys: "Fine... I hope the people of this world can deal with our appearances..."

Reyo: "You really are a worry-wart..."

As Raiys and Reyo go outside Wildee's real home and see the sights, Wildee and his brother were travelling to the toon dimension. Unfortunately, Wildee had accidentally set the time-travel dial to another year. What will happen to him as he crosses not only dimensions, but time as well?

Chapter 3

Wildee had crossed the threshold into the toon dimension, but ended up in the wrong year. As he exits from minutes of being in complete blackness, he gets his first glimpse of the animated world for the very first time. However, it wasn't easy on his eyes at first.

Wildee: "Ack!!! So blurry... Is this right?"

Wildee takes off his glasses and tries again to see the world.

Wildee: "Wow!!! This place is so amazing! And the best thing is, I don't need my glasses anymore!"

Wildee opens the hatch and throws his glasses out. They landed on the head of a small boy in a lab coat. It was Dexter and he was on his way back home from a day of working in the school's science laboratory.

Dexter: "What the? Glasses?"

Dexter takes a close look at them and then takes off his older glasses to try them on.

Dexter: "Ooh... Very nice. Much better prescription than my current ones. I'll keep them!"

After Dexter decides to keep the glasses, Wildee was now trying to head towards Florida to visit Le Gator and Viviana when he wanted the machine to go faster.

Wildee: "This is taking too long. I'm in boring Townsville now and I want to visit Le Gator already. Maybe this can help..."

Wildee notices a device for speed and tries to turn the dial to make it faster. This however, caused the machine to go way too fast.

Wildee: "Ahh!!!!! Too fast!!!!!"

The machine sped by North America and past Europe and Africa. As the machine was heading over the continent of Asia, the machine started to run out of fuel.

Wildee: "Reyo didn't fill this machine all the way? Figures that he'd mess up something..."

Wildee tries to slow down the machine, but it runs out of fuel by the time it reaches Japan.

Wildee: "Great... I hope this machine is buoyant, because it's about to hit the sea!"

As Wildee braces himself for impact into the sea, two girls in bikinis were by the shore of the beach. One of them had short, brown hair and the other had long, black hair and was also holding a videocamera.

??????: "Isn't it a great day for the beach, Sakura-chan?"

Sakura: "Yeah. Maybe this'll make me feel better about what happened with Shaoran the other day..."

??????: "Don't be sad, Sakura-chan. A smile suits you best!"

Sakura: "You're right, Tomoyo-chan. I'll try to enjoy myself today."

Tomoyo: "Wasn't it nice of my bodyguards to bring us here after school? I even brought these awesome swimsuits."

Sakura: "Yeah. Thanks for cheering me up, Tomoyo-chan."

Just then, Sakura hears a strange sound coming from far away.

Sakura: "What is that? Sounds like a weird airplane or something..."

Tomoyo notices the machine about to crash into the water and points Sakura in that direction.

Tomoyo: "Look over there!"

Sakura: "Hoe? What is that thing???"

Sakura and Tomoyo watch as the machine Wildee was using crashes into the sea. Wildee manages to get out before the machine sinks to the bottom, but was having a hard time swimming back to shore.

Wildee (thinking): "Darn it... I hope I can make it to shore. I don't want my first day in the toon dimension to be my last..."

Tomoyo: "Someone just got out of that weird thing, but he's having a hard time swimming back."

Sakura: "Wait here, Tomoyo-chan. I'll go help him!!!"

As Sakura bravely goes into the water to save the struggling Wildee, Tomoyo was filming the whole thing.

Tomoyo: "All right! Now I can film Sakura as she saves someone from drowning! Eat your heart out, 'Baywatch'!!!"

As Tomoyo continues filming, Sakura is swimming towards Wildee. Will she save him before it's too late?
