Pain and pleasure, like light and darkness, succeed each other.
- Longfellow

It requires more courage to suffer than to die.
- Napolean

Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth.
- Thoreau

War is only a cowardly escape from the problems of peace.
- Mann

The way to win an atomic war is to make certain it never starts.
- Omar

The law cannot make all men equal, but they are all equal before law.
- Pollock

For man is man and master of his fate.

Some things I live by. I would have put more but I didn't feel like it.

-After coming into contact with a religious man I always feel I must wash my hands.

-Ah, women. They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent.

-All credibility, all good conscience, all evidence of truth come only from the senses.

-All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

-All truth is simple... is that not doubly a lie?

-Arrogance on the part of the meritorious is even more offensive to us than the arrogance of those without merit: for merit itself is offensive.

-Faith: not wanting to know what is true.

-For the woman, the man is a means: the end is always the child.

-God is a thought who makes crooked all that is straight.

-He who cannot give anything away cannot feel anything either.

-He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. Is not life a hundred times too short for us to bore ourselves? ...And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

-Fanatics are picturesque, mankind would rather see gestures than listen to reasons.

-Fear is the mother of morality.

-I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time.

-In Christianity neither morality nor religion come into contact with reality at any point.

-In every real man a child is hidden that wants to play.

-In heaven, all the interesting people are missing.

-In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.

-In the last analysis, even the best man is evil: in the last analysis, even the best woman is bad.

-Is man one of God's blunders? Or is God one of man's blunders?

LOL. I liek.

Anyway, there was a guy who said "Kings and queens all shit" or something, probably a quote conveying his message on how all humans are equal at the core or something or rather. I can't remember this person's name AT ALL.
I think he also suggested that there was no way of testing someone's wisdom. I can't remember much more, only these things.

Is there someone who knows or will know the name of this philosopher? Props and internets to the person who does so.

I dunno. There are a lot philosophers. If you knew which country the guy your talking about came from then I could make a better educated guess as to who your talking about.

I THINK he's from England, not sure at all, it's been a long time since I saw that random video. If I had to pick a country, it'd be England, so I'll start from there = ).
He's not a very well known philosopher I don't think, but his ideas were quite post-modernistic at the time, in fact probably still is.

wtf why is bruce lee not there :/ he is famous for his fighting philosophies

"Be formless... shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle; it becomes the bottle. You put it into a teapot; it becomes the teapot. Water can flow, and it can crash. Be water, my friend..."

"Use only that which works, and take it from any place you can find it."
