I too, wonder how it began on the bridge. I must admit I started scheeming on ways to create one here -- but i live in a little town =_= Anyway's it was a very interesting article. Interesting how even after 7 years of learning japanse there was still somewhat of a comunication gap. Damn I better work hard if I wanna go to Japan and not be like some lame tourist -_- but I'm young! still 5 years before I can go on my own legaly....better start working on that -gets a japansese book-

The insight into why they do it and creating their own world was...fantastic, to bad they eventually have to leave. As much as i love that, one can't help but wonder just HOW much fun it is for them to be their all day, or is it just in comparason to the pressure of their regular lives? On it's own, the concept of modern japanese culture is confusing, what's right, what's doing things in your own way, if you've built lasting relationships or, like the kids on the bridge, once a week get-aways....Ahhhh sorry if I'm depressing people, ('cause I'm depressing myself _ _ |||), I was born pessimistic
