I got into anime from watching adult swim one late night in 2001 I believe. I saw Yu Yu Hakusho for the first time, and never looked back.

Hello Alexander!!

Me and bros have a word for that everything funny and stupid time of day, its called "sap happy" The craziest non funny stuff become hilarious and yes we do become stupid >.< But isn't life more fun that way?

I've never watched Death Note but I've seen some scenes from it and thought it was humorous xD But it's a modern classic that many love and brought a lot of fans in.

So Welcome to Crunchyroll, remember to have the time of your life here, go crazy, go wild, go iNsAnE, just remember, we bite!!!

Hey my name is Josh
Im currently 16 and live in Chicago
Something interesting would probably be that I'm not the stereotypical otaku who is nonathletic, but instead I love to play soccer and run track.
I got into anime because one I'm Asian, two naruto was on cartoon network as a kid and I got tired waiting for new eps every week, and finally their was an Anime Club at my school and I joined

A bit of a hiatus? You were gone longer than me, hah. I left in 2007 and came back in January. CR is awesome like that.

And hey, college isn't everything. I mean well for some (me T_T) it has to be, but not everybody needs it or wants it.

And ooh I haven't watch YYH in a long time, and since you're smiling about your engagement not working out, I want to say I'm happy for you??

But either way Welcome Back to Crunchyroll, stick around longer this time, have fun, and since you're an old member coming back you get the welcome bite and poke from my stick!! *Bite!* *Poke!*

Something about me, okay I have been watching anime since before some of you were born (weird enough?) keep reading
I have been gaming from the very beginning, and I mean beginning. Atari was my first system, so I've seen it all so far from pong (just google it) to Assassin's Creed Revelations. I started searching for anime since before the Internet was the Internet F*@# i just realized how old I am. Anyway the first anime I ever watched was Vampire Hunter D(1985) that was in the early 90's and it was the most amazing forgive me cartoon I had ever seen,( I was later corrected when a friend introduced me to the word anime). To this day I cannot remember how I stumbled across it, maybe someone lent me a tape (yes a VHS) My interest in anime really surged with Dragonball and DBZ I was always intrigued with how well the writers could deliver so little story yet keep me coming back year after year the same with Bleach I have not missed an episode since Shoen Jump started airing Bleach with episode 1. Just for clarification I do not live in my mothers basement, because there is no such thing in Florida, also I am married and have a decent career oh and I do not sell comic books nor am I fat, I am bald but in a Picard way, if you understand that me gusta.

Well to start of this is truly the first time I have ever typed a form post in my life, I just was thinking to myself, "Okay why not try something new today!" so hear I am. I am a inspiring artist, with on classes on my belt, I learned all I know by looking at other artists work. Also I have been getting into filming lately, I find that filming works well with an artists point of view.
I cant remember exactly how I got into anime, but I think I was in a book store a few years back and spotted the manga section and started poking about, I ended up with a manga called Chobits, why... I have no idea but from that day on I have watch and read both manga and anime.

Hi Josh

Haha that's the thing about stereotypes, we can't exepect them to be true all the time :-P and soccer and track are both very cool sports.

I used to think all Asians specificialy Japanese watched anime, until most of my "real" life Asian friends don't like anime. Seems like all my white and black friends are obsessed while my Asian friends are like "look at them nerds" xD. But I'm glad you were able to find your way into this world and joined a club :-)

o_O I thought when my parents told me the internet didn't exist before it was an urban legend to somehow convince me to not get addicted to it and depend on it xD. Totally kidding. Oh man..talking about tapes gest me all nostalgic. I used to have them all organised and had a folder that list what was on each one and the length of the video...now I feel old lol.

Yes DBZ pulled a lot of people in, and Shonen Jump was the magazine that made me an otaku back then too. Never got into Bleach but it got me addicted to manga 10 years ago :-/

Hey! No insulting the mother's basesment. I hear from serious otakus and gamers they can move out, they just like the lighting :-P...and oh I'm more of a Kirk girl, both TOS and Reboot.

So Welcome to both of you Josh and Clinton, have fun, watch anime, contribute to your Anime Club, convince your way to become an otaku too, do all that and more, just remember, we bite!!!

Hello Just J! :-P

Congrats on making your first post ever! To commemorate this momentous occassion le'ts have a party that will continue long after this page is passed:

What type of artist are you? From what I'm reading you're just pretty all around creative. For myself I am also an artist with my writings being my main passion. I love performing poetry and skits live in front of people, and I am I suppose okay at directing. But my weakness is acting Put a camera in front of me and I become lifeless. Most people assume I'll be good on film because I'm good at performing-No. I've learned and accepted that those are two different type of performers, and there is something about physically being there with the audience reacting to you that gives me the zest and zeal for performing :-P

Ohohoho you have no idea why you picked Chobits. Well who could resist a pretty and shy looking girl with weird ears. I know it was one of my first mangas too. Manga does that to you, you read one, and you have to read them all.

Hi Kevin!

I've been seeing you around the forums. It's nice to meet you formally...er virtually xD

You like to eat spagetti uncooked? No way! That's kind of cool since I used to eat ramen uncooked. It was like a really big cracker

Naruto dubbed got you into anime? T_T Please clarify which one. Because I nearly died of laughter the first time I watched I believe it was when Disney/Nicklelodeon (one of them) was doing the English dub. Korn is great! I only really know their well-known songs >.< but from what I listened to, me likey. Pokemon...that anime/game stole many a soul when it first came out.

So welcome to both Just J! and Kevin to Crunchyroll! We're all about the having fun, being yourself, being crazy-loco, looking at pretty girls, looking at pretty guys, doing nothing at all, just doing you! Just remember we bite! And I occasionally poke new members with sticks-so watch out!

Yo I'm Liz and I'm 21 from Houston, TX. I LOVE steak and other ethnic foods and because I like a bit of everything from music to food I don't really have any favorites. I grew up with the good ole 90's cartoon (some of which were around when my parents were kids) Pokemon got me into anime and the Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow got me into gaming. I'm more of an rpg girl though I do like games where you can create and customize characters and customize their weapons and outfits. I also like game where the main character is a girl. Recenly I've gotten into otome style games and now I love that too.

My favorite animes are Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X), Best Student Council, Bamboo Blade, Shrine of the Morning Mist, Kannazuki No Miko, Bleach, Ghost Hunt, Kekkeishi, The World Only God Knows, Samurai 7, Moribito, Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan, Gintama, Peacemaker Kurogane, Hell Girl, Princess Nine, Your Under Arrest, Full Metal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic, Blue Seed, Vandread, Skip Beat, Chance Pop Secession, Higurashi - When They Cry (Higurashi Naku No Koro Ni?).....etc...O___o

As you can see I like different anime from lots of different genres but I do prefer anime with a bit of mystery centering around ghosts and other supernatural stuff and anime that are based off of history such as Samurai X and Shinsengumi Kitan.

Maiden_ayaAnd you're an artist? That's super cool! And its good you look at both anime and manga, because anime helps with the big picture basics, but the mangas help you see the finer details of backgrounds, scenery, minute expressions that are important to capture in still form. I'm a big manga fan, can you tell?

Heh.. Yes i can see that otherwise you would choisen an other forum i guess.. anyhow i dont strive to draw after one style.. is trying to create something that repesent myself.. As i'm not a manga artist in that sense.. i do have a classic education about art and shape.. also along photografy.. So just started with manga realy.. Do have some thing i drawn in my photomap.. but not good enough yet.. but that is what i made so far.. but most for my own Roleplaying characters.. But atm im just playing around to make diffrent eyes.. and then add them all together to see what eye art is my own..
Do you draw?

No I don't draw beyond doodles for inspiration for my novels xD. No I just feel a kinship towards other writers, drawers, and musicians because we're all artists. Truthfully I am semi-decent with faces and bodies but I have the most difficult time drawing hands, feet, and a consistent face expression :-/

I also practiced the eye thing and realized I have knack for the round anime eyes with oval pupils, and realistic portrait eyes, and also very pretty lips too. With everything else I suck lol..

But I see you have knowledge and skill in other art forms, other than manga.

Well evryone struggle with hands i guess.. hands is so hard to draw becuse even the hand shall speak.. if you got a stiff hand the picture gets stiff... as the hands shall speak.. along with the body language of the character.. sometimes.. people rely to mutch on the faces.. there for they mask the problem to make the whole body speak.. hard as i'm not a pro or a newbe.. tho im to hard on myself that it hinder me from drawing anything.. and when i have drawn anything it was such a struggle to make oneself to draw that the picture end with failure anyway..
But one thing i always force myself to do.. is to draw atleast one hour each day.. even if i toss most of it away.. but one hour on the craft is something that is good..

Ossu, Jerico-san. Anime is good and all, but don't diss disney! You obviously haven't seen Phineas and ferb,

Anyway, as stated in the terms and conditions when you signed up to CR, both of your bodies belong to me now. Hope you both have fun!
