I have arrived to Crunchyroll! My name is Matthew, I live in Ga. Obviously, I love anime and am loving it on Crunchyroll. What got me into anime? Well the very first two things that I'd say really hooked me into anime was Oh My Goddess and Lupin the III: Castle of Calgrostro. 4. I was briefly into Dragon Ball Z when it first aired here at around the year 2001, then stopped. As of 2011 I got back into anime by watching Rosario + Vampire, of all the shows I could of watched first. I even bought the whole first season of the manga, that's how into it I was at the time :S

I've Been into anime/manga since about 11 years old.. My Favorite Being the Classics of course. Akira, Berserk,Studio Ghibli movies,Legend of the Overfiend,Ghost in the shell, Ninja Scroll, Cool Devices, ..etc . i like to collect manga. classic manga/ alternative / ero guro being my favorite.
(i can no longer read shonen stuff..too old for it :P)

the landmark theatres here are currently playing the studio ghibli collection, its really nice watching well animated features on the big screen. if there's any sd folk around here you better get your butt there asap if you havent. :)

Hello everyone. I joined CrunchyRoll not to long ago so I'm a new guy on this and on forums in general... Anyway!

My name is Nando and I come from Portugal.

I'm 18 years old, I started watching anime when some classics were airing on TV. I'm a active gamer since I was 9 and nowadays I play a little bit of everything but JRPG's and strategy are the ones I play and interest me the most.

And that's all I can say at the moment... but anyone can shoot me a message! I don't mind. =)

Sorry this is late! I'm usually a lurker on forums, so I tend to completely forget there is introduction thread. Shinji made a very appropriate format, so here I go!

1. I am Fury son of Bob.
2. I am a 35 year old male from Oklahoma City, U.S.A.
3. I practice the Kamesennin style of martial arts.
4. The first anime I ever saw was the original Vampire Hunter D. It was very early in the morning on a Saturday. My father had just allowed us to get cable for the first time in my life. After the movie was over, the channel advertised "Japanimation Saturdays." I don't know what happened but they never showed any anime after that one movie I just happened to see. Years later I saw an animation called Heavy Metal. I think I fell in love with Taarna, lol. I even named my car after her. At the time I did not know the film was Canadian, but I watched it because the style reminded me of VHD which I saw years before. In those days we did not have the net or even cell phones. There was nothing about any of it at the library and no one I talked to had ever heard of such a thing. I exhausted all my leads, but I never forgot the look on the antagonist vampire's face as he realized who D really was right before he died.

My close friends know I have this hobby, but none of them is really into it. It will be nice to finally have some people I can talk with about my 2nd favorite thing in the world. I hope we can all get along!
