i used to live next to someone that abused theor dog. so one day, i was walking past the house and i heard the dog yelp. the door was open so i ran in the house and saw the owner smacking it. i ran over and covered the dog and the dude began to hit and kick me saying "what the hell are you doing?! this dog is a little piece of shit and doesnt deserve to live. it doeasnt even do anything i say." and i was like, "it doesnt listen to you because you scare it." and then he got pissed. he left the room and grabbed a bat. when i saw it, i picked up the dog and ran out. i went into my house and locked the doors. he started banging on the door and all that. he stopped eventually, and then the next day he was arrested for killing animals. i was so scared because when i went outside to look, he just stared at me the whole freakin time.

OMG, that was brave. You have the guts to tell him off. So how was the dog??

Well, I've experienced a lot of these but only two of these I could remember since It's so hard for me to think about it until I chose to forget about it at all.

So, there was once when I was just 12 or 13 years old and my next door neighbor was a home for many families since it was a house with rented rooms. Then I saw this cute dog one of this family bought it and they kept it as a pet. I was pretty sure it's a male back then. Then one time, this puppy(as most puppies were) were being naughty and hyper and wants to play around knocked down a few flower pots and left the soil on the ground. Tat flower pots were belonged to the other family of the rented room. When she found out , she quickly hit that poor puppy with a rattan stick! I was in my bedroom studying when I heard the puppy sqeals. You don't know how unbearable it is to see the puppy suffered like that. I was stupid for not doing anything because there's nothing I CAN REALLY DO!! COME ON!! I WAS A PUPPY!! Even my dog chewed and wrecked a lot of stuff, but my family didn't hit it! and so I thought the nightmare was over until the next day, the same incident came. This time, i couldn't bear it at all, until I made a scream from my window bedroom and yelled "Stopped!!" I wasn't sure what I did was appropriate until the nightmare was over. Now, I'm 17 and I've moved to different states and I was still thinking whether the puppy has grown up.

and the next one was back in 2006 when our class had an invitation to go to a mini zoo in one of the primary school.

We were given a task to write down what do we think about the animals in the zoo and the conditions of it. And guess what, it was sooo bad!! The animals were living in a smelly cage and looking all frail. I don't get why no one was being vocally about it. So I wrote the remarks of the zoo in a piece of notebook. Then my best friend and I went to see a cage full of monkeys. They were really gentle looking. Then, suddenly one of the naughty school kids poke sticks to the monkeys and made them infuriated. I was soo pisssed and so was my friend. She was a prefect and she told them to back OFF!! So they did and made faces to us and left. I still couldn't hold back the torments for what they did. Ten, we went to see a female coyote feeding her pups. They were soo cute and their mum was in a peaceful moments with them. I got near to her cage and tried to stoke the mother on her head even if I knew I shouldn't allowed risking myself with wild animals. And she doesn't look very disturbed at all. It was by far the most beautiful moment I've ever witness in my entire life. Then, the naughty kids came back again!! They made a ridiculous 'woof' sound and growled like a retard. This made the mother got so tense and growled at them. This time I was soo mad..and I yelled at the boys! Luckily I didn't swear but still I yelled at them to stop being stupid making those irritating and ugly growls and stupid monkey gestures!! They sulked and went off! AND GUESS WHAT? IT FELTTT SOOOOO GOOD! Haha! Then the mother was back into her calming sense. Then, my friend and I stroke her head and we were relieved and happy that we did something even if I knew that I wasn't going to help them in the future but I felt good about it.

and definitely I prayed for these animals. Small or big, rodents or wild, I still love them.
LOL, I'm sorry my story was kinda long but I've summarised the best as I could.

my neighbor's female dog is always tied up and what she's fed is just horrible. when whe had pups, the pups were put in a drum (the one that stores water) the chain she's tied up with is very short. her neck is marked by her blood and the rust of the chain

well one time in 2008 i was walking to my friend (now enemy) Alexis's house and I saw this Cocker Spaniel PUPPY that was probably not given much cuz it was skinny and it was poking its nose around a dead animal....couldnt see what animal it was but the owners of the dog hunted that dead animal and the skinny dog went to sniff it and then thw owner statred kicking and slapping the dog on the nose really hard and saying "get away from here you stupid dog! you already have your food everyday!" the dog didnt even touch it! it wasnt too bad like the other people's entries but it was still upsetting

Me and my hubby volunteer for a ferret shelter, and belong to a Ferret Council...one of the things we do with the Council is set up at local Petco stores and educate people about these amazing animals (Ferret Awareness Day = FAD). We also do things like hold little events, such as Petco Races, etc.

Last year we were down the road for one of the FAD races, I took a bunch of my kids (I refer to my ferrets as "my kids") with us so to get them used to human interactivity. And I entered Banzai in the race, just for fun ya know. Well, this man came with his 2 ferrets, 6 kids and wife. Ee had several people attend with ferrets....which was pretty good seeing as it usually does not draw people. Well, the man with the 2 ferrets and a bunch of kids, half laughing said to me, "If they don't win I am getting rid of them f-ing ferrets". I looked at him shocked and he laughed and walked away. So naturally I though he was just a rude "person" and though he though he was funny.

So we did the races....had several rounds....and a bunch of fun too. Banzai wound up winning 1st and 3rd places. Yaay...go Banzai!

So we were all standing around just talking and one of the ladys from my Council came to me all frantic. "That man with the kids and 2 ferrets is serious, he wants to get rid of them now"...I was shocked and was like...."Where is his wife"....so I found her and we talked alone....as soon as her husband came over she shut up and hurried away. (I think he abused her like he did these animals) Anyhow, she sais now the ferrets were never going to get out of their cages since they didnt win. I gave her 2 numbers to reach me with and insisted she talk her husband into calling me. A week later she called. We talked and she said someone was interested in buying them. I told her if it fell through to call me. A month later she called. And she gave me her address.

I got there...they just got done with a home inspection with children services.

They had 5 dogs, 7 kids, 3 lizards, a large fish tank with brackish fish in it...and where were the ferrets? She frantically ran around and then said to us...."I cannot find Charley....he is missing, I wonder if he didn't get out of the house again". I was horrified at that thought. We looked too, no sign of him. Pepper, the female was looking bad though. I could tell that they had been off and on starved just by seeing her. Her fur was dry, she was overly thin....she looked lethargic...mild dehydration....she just looked unhappy. After 3 hours.....Charley came out from under the large freezer in the dining room. She could not tell me anything about them...like age, or anything. Never have they seen a vet....no shots, nothing. I asked about food....if they were lucky they got horrible cat food. But she said "They eat anything". I kept my mouth shut....number one priority was to get these 2 out of there! And we did just that. We tried to hurry out and her husband got home. He stopped me...and then said..."Thanks...anyone with ferrets tattoos is bound to take good care of their ferrets, so I know they are going to the right home".

We fostered them for about 2 months....got them healthy, well fed and well socialized. And then they went to the shelter to get adopted.

They have since found a new home....and were able to go together.

But I will never forget them...they finally got the love they deserved.

(BTW....if any of you need ferret help....please contact me.)
