Which movies have you seen that you were really looking forward to seeing, but ended up being disappointing?

Nightmare on Elm St. remake - The new Freddy both looks and sounds like a joke. At least the old Freddy was funny. This one is just bland to watch. Very bland. Like a failed-college-project bland. I couldn't even finish the movie; I was so irritated yet bored.

The Smurfs - The trailer made it look much better than what it was.. revealing all the good scenes, etc. I laughed a couple of times but man, it could have been so much better.

Thor - The trailer again, made it look a lot better than what it really was. Much of the movie felt stretched out, like there was a lot of filler. I got bored.

Lets just say I was deeply pissed after seeing that heaping crap of overrated bull. As in general: Most J-horror films, which is why I no longer watch them, they always have the same ploy of some tortured female ghost seeking revenge, if not some bloody incident at some high school.

Winner of the Best Picture 2000 and four other Oscars for this tired satire of suburbia at the turn of the century. The actors do give good performances, but the script is weak and feels the need to practically shout its message through narration or dull dialogue.
