queenbee,of course it should be voiced, you're demanding freedom of speech as well, aren't you?also we wouldn't know there's these narrow minded people in the u.s. and everywhere else if they wouldn't be voiced.

abel89, what you said is correct, ignorant, lazy and materialistic. If you manage to get clothes on your children's back you should be able to tell where they're from, certainly not the u.s..Also, calling information useless means it's wasted on you. the reason why people everywhere demand for more information is it's essential for achieving anything, good or bad. the people that hold power hold information others can't access. People who say information is useless since it doesn't feed them are sheep.

putting clothes on your kids back is not lazy or materialistic, it's hard work, asking your rich daddy to buy a Benz is lazy and materialistic, people who think like this are not narrow minded, they just have their priorities straight and are taking care of their own

and I don't call what I know useless info, my family does, and so what if people like that are considered sheep, if their taking care of their business and responsibilities then so be it, they're sheep

o.k. I'm not good at being all that serious. but I'll still correct you, because I wasn't saying the act of earning money to get clothes on your children's back is lazy and materialistic, I said your point of view is, though correct, seen from that angle.

One last thing, all though we seem to agree on the sheep thing, you say that's fine as long as they're taking care of their responsibilities. I call them sheep cause I think it's irresponsible to consider information on other countries than their own useless. As you put it "they just have their priorities straight and are taking care of their own", that's what I meant by ignorant&materialistic.

Then move? You can get Citzenship in another country if you really are frusterated with being american.

Like I have the money to move to another country.

And Im just frustrated, I don't dislike being american. I just don't like the general concensus. I don't feel that the policies and laws being passed express my opinion as an american. It sucks being a part of the countries minority in terms of thought on key issues like the war, gay marriage, and generally the way the country is run.

As a part of the middle class it feels like the only way to get changes made is to have a lot of money, and political clout. I mean it feels like the country isn't run by a government but by another big business.

That or hope that these old republicans will die so we can replace them with people that represent progressive values that reflect the current way of life.

That last part does seem interesting, but do remember, people do and will get corrupted with power/money, whether they realize it or not.

You should see how much money politicians spend on campaigns for president or any other seat in the government... it's terrible...

In every aspect of life, in my opinion, is a business....governments are not exempted. especially, when politicians run for office and they get funding from highly successful corporations...u might want to ask "wat do these big corporations get for backing these politicians???".........think a bit.....

and don't insult the people who made this topic coz ur pissing me off!!! if u can't laugh at urself then who can u laugh at???

Thanks. You're a smart one!

Okay, a lot of mumbo jumbo mixed in with some educated comments. A. I didn't want to start a political debate on CR. I was just joking about my nation. It just so happens that America is in desperate need of citizens who are willing to poke fun at it. Maybe if people weren’t so ridiculously patriotic and blind about America people wouldn’t call us arrogant, narrow minded, war mongers.

B. Most nations have some weapon of mass destruction. I would not live in a nation that did not have some nuclear weapons to use as a threat. Nations need something to defend themselves with. Some say they don’t have nukes but they are lying for the betterment and safety of their people. If they are not then they are stupid.

C. My dear friends, calm down. Every nation is equal. We are all equal. Every nation has flaws. Every nation has strengths.

D. America is not the top dog! That would be Japan, they just aren’t interested in wasting their resources on the other world so much as America. In short America is more into charity, and quicker to show off her wealth and martial prowess than it should be. Japan, however, could kick us across the floor.

E. Even if America were at the top, as most of us think we are, we cannot stay there long. Why? Because America is nothing as a nation. The foundations of the nation do not teach to be patriotic to a patch of land, but rather to the individuals that make that land a great place to live. It’s an anti-fascism philosophy they plays a major role in our government. This keeps us from reaching our greatest potential, but also increases the quality of life of our citizens. Hints we are fat and lazy, :p.

F. Come on people, laugh a little! Lets hear some knee smackers!

All and all, have fun! Forget the serious mien of politics and patriotism for just a moment. After all, it’s just the internet! I personally feel that if we remain so ridiculously serious about things we will fry our minds!

This is what you get when you have a good president like Clinton leave a few billion dollars surplus and have a retard like Bush get ahold of that money. And as you were saying Japan could be top dog? You do realize that Japan has almost no natural resources of its own right? That's why they were so desperate to win WWII.

Maybe it's a difference in the location of the country in which we live (but I've noticed this online too), but I believe that many Americans aren't all that patriotic... most Americans I know hop right on the poke-fun-at-Americans train whenever it chug on by, which I find equally as annoying and aggravating as our morons who are the cause of our bad image. Those who do nothing to correct our image and issues, those who only decide to showcase America's negative aspects and continue to generalize are just as worthless as our nation's morons. When you go out of the country to other wealthy post-industrialized countries and are the target of discrimination due to your American nationality you might get a little fed up with all of this... Be a little more constructive. I do agree that we are not perfect, that changes need to be made, and that humor is needed on this topic, but I think that people go about all of that in the completely wrong manner.
