aww, i mean in the last episode it was like they were really close and shuurei was there but what if sumething happens? i still want shuuurei to end up with ryuuki i hope theres not another love triangle ;p

Not really they just seem like comrade or something. Not a brother sister thing but like two ppl that can relate b/c they are going through the same things kind of. Jyuusan Hime likes someone else and I would feel a little betrayed if after 70 odd episodes Ryuuki just says 'screw it' and gives up on Shuurei.

I totally agree with you. Jyuusan Hime & Ryuuki = epic fail. I just can't imagine that pairing. I still belive Shuurei will marry Ryuuki <3

but if he really really really has to marry another girl, than it has to be Jyuusan hime. because she understands people well. just as ran shuuei said she's understanding and can see through people, she can be a good consort for ryuuki

Even Though we'd love ryuuki and Shurei to be together. Ryuuki's the prisoner of the throne, to his position. That's one of the reasons he ran off, because he knew that he probably wouldn't get Shuurei in the end. His court had already decided to an alliance with the Ran Clan by marrying him to Jyuusan. Jyuusan and Ryukki are both having unrequited love. It takes Jyuusan hime to make her start to think about Ryuuki, but she's resigned to think that she's been replaced and Ryuuki won't be alone at night. I also pretty much think people can have changes of heart even ryuuki. It would be easier for him to marry Jyuu-san.

If Shuurei were empress all she would be able to do is in offical capacity is bear him an heir to the throne. She can't be a government official. Although she could have an influence. My problem is the Ryukki's Government, it's based on tradition and it's hard to change. It is still hard to accept shuurei as an official and even as empress. And to have an emperor without a harem. I mean it's unusual for a chinese emperor to have a monogamous marriage. As long as political alliances neeeded to be sealed by a marrriage there was a need for a harem. Also it sereved another function more royal children, incase the heirs were murdered or ill, they would still have a secure line to the throne. Remember Ryuuki had 7 brothers including Seiran. A product of polygamous marriage system.

It's not like Shuurei has a shortage of behind her back plans for marrying her off..that I even think her father would go on a killing spree if he knew about..Think the Uncle/ secretary of the Kou clan who wanted to marry her himself or to his adopted son Koyuu Li. Tan-tan, santa san etc.

ohh... i still want ryuuki and shuurei together... i want to witness how are they going to fight for their love.. and i don't think it is unrequited love for ryuuki.. i believe shuurei actually likes ryuuki but she just want to stay an official so that she could do more for ryuuki.. she might be afraid that as empress she'll only cause more trouble for ryuuki.. but that's the point.. we all would like to witness how will ryuuki and shuurei manage to go against all odds just like when ryuuki fought for the right of women to be officials just for his beloved shuurei..

And take note.. there were emperors who only had one heir to their throne.. so it is possible not to have a harem for the emperor.. And i feel it Jyuusan-hime and Ryuuki will only be living a sad arranged marriage if they were to get married... but it's not like i don't like Jyuusan... i just believe Ryuuki will be happier with shuurei..
