Otaku animes are MEAN'T for otakus that's what makes em otaku animes (Well it's mostly mean't for otakus as the main watchers and buyers.)......Many animes try to make as many cute characters as they can to make the anime more appealing to otakus (As one of the guys mentioned before the otakus buy alot of products like figures, mangas, dvds, pillows and so it goes on.)...Otaku animes are animes that are made to be sold to otakus (There are people who make animes cause they thought of an nice idea and want to share it.)...The only thing otaku animes have is cute characters really the story is really shitty (The story is quite normally about an childhood promise or about how an romance comes between an childhood friends...There are many animes like that if you research a bit.) and the comedy is really twisted too (Twisted in a REALLY bad way.)...

You aren't making sense simply because you are being far too general. Otakus exist for every possible thing that a nerd could be obsessed with. How could the creators of these fiendish "otaku animes" fit the demands of such a diverse group?

Also, your attacks on "otaku animes" are a little bit weak because you don't really explain yourself. Exactly how does trying to give fans what they want worse for the story? I'm not saying that it is good for the story, but I just don't see any corrolation.

Furthermore, isn't it true that all animes, as well as all mediums of entertainment, must change their content to satisfy their audiences? Where is the line between an otaku anime and a regular anime? Is it even possible to draw a line?

Otaku anime? What are your standards in calling an anime "otaku anime"? Is it because of the parodies? Is it because of MOE and GAR characters? Or is it because of its peculiar plot? Please give us your standards.

=====================

as i've said in previous post.

I think he got the title wrong or maybe you mis interpreted the title.

he's asking what makes otaku anime so otaku. I think. anyway you can find more info in the more older posts

but I think me and him solved it already. we came to the conclusion of 'FAN SERVICE' cause without fan service, some anime gets boring.

That make sense.

However, there are things that I can't seem to understand. How can FAN SERVICE make a fan otaku? I just don't get it because there are other ways to make an anime "otaku anime".

1. Parodies - Animes like Hayate no Gotoku, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, Lucky Star, and many more makes are meant to make an anime so otaku.
2. Characters - Shakugan no Shana, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and many more (especially animes with lots of bishounen and bishoujo) makes an anime so otaku.
3. Otaku-based plot - Welcome to the NHK, Lucky Star (again), Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (again), Hayate no Gotoku (again) and many more also makes an anime "otaku anime".
4. Fanservice - Kanokon, and many more makes an anime look otaku.

It is quite hard determining what makes an anime "otaku anime" in this thread especially because there is no certain standard for it. You said that it is fanservice; however, it is not that convincing because I'm 101% sure that not all otakus are interested in fanservice.

Side note: All animes are meant to generate otakus.

hmmm..... then I guess generally speaking it's what the otaku wants that makes it otaku. you judge yourself if it's otaku or not. people are misunderstanding it and saying that if it has loads of people watching it then it's otaku.

I don't really get a lot of this stuff. but the nature of humans is really difficult.

EDIT:

this is just my guess

I'm not accusing you. as stated

"if you aren't one then everything is good"

Fan Service doesn't generally branch off from ecchi. more like ecchi branches off from it.

ecchi is just one branch. if I was to Translate Fan Service I would translate it to giving what viewers want.

Well otaku anime is an kind of anime that really seems to be made for otakus..It's really hard to explain it...The best way to find out is to try some otaku animes (I will say that if you aren't an otaku it will seem boring.)...try watching Genshiken than kuijbiki unbalanced...and than try watching Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo it might explain what kinda anime is otaku anime....

lol true.

if that's the case, I can't really solve this at all.
I'll try to listen to what I can, and give an intelligent opinion to help solve some of these questions.

oh wait I've got an idea.

I guess all the 'otaku anime' your talking about is anime with LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of
Fan Service

did I hit it dead on?

or am I wrong?

That would be ecchi. Lots of anime have them.

I spend only about 15% of my day on CR
