Only three really come to mind that seem like they'd actually do well in theaters: Gantz, Akira, and Ghost in the shell. Two of which are already being made. But I suppose a live action naruto would be worth some lol's, aslong as they make it 6 hours and consist of mostly filler.

Well, not a movie, but there is a Gundam series where it was live action.

well ya. but as u said. its not really a movie. and in order for a gundam movie to be good, they need to spend alot of money on effects. low budget productions wont work for gundams

$8,950,948
¥1 billion
I'm pretty sure that these are the budgets for the film.
I don't think that's considered "low".

EDIT -
Nevermind, I found that it was a television movie set.
So, it kinda can be considered as a movie.

Dude 8.9 million is really a low budget. as i stated, a Gundam movie could be good if it was done as seriously as the transformers movie with a high budget. The transformer movie had 140 Million USD as budget. So 8.9 is only a small fraction of that.

So 8.9 million is "low"?
You're comparing a GOOD movie with an AVERAGE one. If we where to compare movies in general, would it be "low"? I doubt it.
A "low" budget is something like $1,200. While an average budget, is something similar to the one I just stated.
I'm pretty sure that an average is different from low.

listen. If Gundam is gonna be made into a movie, its gonna fall under the sci fi genre. And all DECENT sci fi movies have high budgets. more money = better and more explosions, better CG, better special effects, better actors, better writers, better costumes, better designers and etc. and look at the difference btwn the 2. Transformers had over 10 times more money to spend.

I mean you can't compare a sci fi movie with a chick flicks or shit loads of garbage movies that comes out every year. You just have low standards.

You stated, "Dude 8.9 million is really a low budget". Which means that you're classifying the movie as a whole (which means it doesn't only include Sci-fi, it also includes chick flicks, or 'shit loads of garbage' movies".

LOL. not really. if u read what i wrote carefully. u will see that i have been specifically referring to the Gundam movie (sci-fi). Plus i dunno where u got the idea that 8.9 million is around average budget. maybe if u include ALL the shit and failure movie. then maybe. but we are talking about good or at least decent movies. Which there mdeian budget over the last 20 years is around 41.7 Million.
